Both, the shots got green cast. Look carefully at the white portions :)

Non-saturated pix (straight out from my D70)

looks ok wud.. just a little green cast. I've played with this lens on my colleague's nikon. Pretty good I say, value for money

Nohtng to do with my HMC filter is it? Hmmm or is it my setting....:embrass:

I think straight from D70 is already good enough.. Not really obvious unless compare side by side..

The recent pic , the 2 plant pics.

It also looks okay to me. I think the green cast is just an optical illusion caused by the dominant leaves. Tried checking with the color picker and it seems fine. :P Hope the lens comes soon... its not only nationwide but globally out of stock.

Hehe... Juz got mine yesterday evening... 6pm 2b exact. Got it from Lords for $1260. Called them up in e afternoon n they had 1. So I reserved it. Been playin w it till now... haha... can't sleep. :bsmilie:

To those who r still wondering e performance of diz lens, I wud say "A GREAT LENS!! Go get it!"

It focuses damn fast n e minimum focusin distance for mine is somewat less than 0.5m. Oh yeah... e VR is juz superb n itz noiseless too. :D

Just BBB, MTL.

If that green cast is what the photgrapher desired, then by all means it's fine. Most people tweak their WB to achieve / create a certain atmosphere / feel.

Sometimes, it's better to be ignorant... the more we know, the more we see... and the more we nit-pick...

Best comment of the day.

Lol, I wish it was what I desired... Did not really noticed it until espn mentioned it.. My eyes not pro;p :bsmilie:

One more things to note for the 18-200, it can't be used with extension tube, all my 3 extension tube size can't be used.

If a cast is intentional, the picture will speak of it. I do not see a picture based on it's technicalities unless necessary, if the image doesn't suit what I feel it's supposed to, I will pick on it.

The green casts simply doesn't help in the shots and I can tell it's not the green surrounding that overpowered nor gave the impression that the whites are whites. Definitely not an optical illusion to me.

I don't know about dropper tool but this is the image I would have wanted to see if the colours are correct. ;) Just for the sake of a healthy discussion.
