Advice needed for second-hand dry cabinets

Hi newbie to photography here! Given Singapore's humid weather, I'm aware its an absolute must to have a dry cabinet to further preserve our gear. I'd prefer to buy it second-hand so I'd like to ask the professional / long-time photographers here on what are some things to take note of when buying second-hand dry cabinets like what are some things to look out for / ask the seller to ensure that I'm not getting scammed lol

or is getting a new one more adviced? If so, is it usual for dry cabinets to go on discounted sales (esp like for those 10.10/1111/1212/black friday events)? Where do yall recommend buying them?

short answer? don't buy second hand for something as important as a dry cabinet. unless it is an unopened/unused set being sold on platforms like carousell.

you are better off buying a new one for warranty. there are always sales online. check out shopee or lazada. the next online sale should be on 25/9.
