Thanks for the recommendation, zola70. Just went down town to check out how it feels outdoors.

When I took this shot of Fullerton, there were 3 Korean tourists standing behind me. They went "WOW!".

Don't get me wrong, it's not because I held the camera motionless for 6 seconds. I was using a tripod.. the guys commented "very wide!".

I was shooting at 16mm. I asked him, you want to see wider?;)

Both shots AF, ISO 100.

Shot 1: Shutter 30 sec, f/9.0

Shot 2: Shutter 6 sec, f/7.1

That bad the focus? HK liao.

Are your shots out of focus or my eye sight had gone bad....

Aha.... sure, if I get shots that are viewable.... dont wanna spoil anyone's eyesight siah..... Heee.... ;p I'm still pretty new to photography....

Heading to Taiwan for work but will be staying over the weekend. This time, I am taking the trouble to lug my serious gear over : manf tripod for night shots, Tok 11-16 UWA, zoom and long zoom and will be collecting my Sigma macro from a colleague there as well....

Did you adjust any sharpening in the camera setting or default?

Both shots AF, ISO 100.

Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Hi Bros, thanks for sharing your photos. I like the 2nd & 3rd shots, maybe you should increase the sharpening level in your camera to make your shots sharper. :)

Nice pic.. The sky is so blue.... Did u use polariser for those pic?
But the sub look a bit weird.. Look like reflection/flare (like 2 sun overlapping each other).
Why ah??
Or my eyes sight problem??

Thanks man ..... Erm, how do you increase the sharpening level in a camera ? Hee.... I think the problem was that I didnt focus it quite right. I pushed the focus ring all the way right..... and sort of went beyond infinity..... I thot later that between infinity and 2 m was just nice for distanced shots....

Hey Eugene,

No polariser. I used ND8 graduated filter instead. Turns the sky very much bluer without any photoshop. But it does impart some vignetting tho.....

The last pix was taken upwards and at 11mm. I think the entire pix gets a little distorted at full wide so the sun is pulled into an ellipse. Even the 2nd last one is the same, but the sun was not at the edge, so lesser distortion I think.

I'll put up the nite shots another day....

some shots from the toki...
