I bought this camera last saturday on a whim , as a bro was selling it cheap on BnS (700). Wasn't expecting much at all, but as an early adapter of the RX100 models for second cameras I wanted to see what it was capable of. Boy was I impressed with this camera ....it really just makes photography fun. The kit lens was seriously impressed me so much , i didn't even bother with my primes at all this day. I am off to Sri Lanka on business next week and I'll be leaving my OMD behind and just taking the GM1 with lenses and my RX100.

the grip is still not available for sale..

I just came back from HongKong

went to several Panasonic dealers and showrooms and was told the grip is out of stock and need to wait 1~2 months.. haiz

When they scan the item for payment, I saw that the original price is $199!!

I remember so. It's on the silent (electronic shutter) mode and happens at fast shutter speeds, faster than 1/50s. So if get it, change back to mechanical shutter, will be gone.
