Newbies Outing (Part 13) - 21 July Marina Bayfront Area Photos

Really can't imaging how could Adrian carry this bag up to the floating boat..:dunno:

The length of this tripod bag is 80cm..

er.... mayb cos he's so tall? tt the guards don't wanna mess with him???

Probably getting a calibration tool is the best option, but if budget constraints, can consider going to THIS site to see what you can achieve.
Thanks for the link, will take a look at it later :)

#1 is nice and like an oil painting (i wasnt early enough to capture these rays though~ sighz...

#2 nice, b&w seems to look nicer
Thanks! Btw, I thought you were going to post your nicely shaped cloud picture. I like that one :bsmilie:

Easy.. put it on my shoulder, buy ticket, queue for the lift, and then go up to lvl 56  I have done it twice hahaha.

I can see that this is a highly cropped photo. There is a noticeable lower IQ in this compare to your other photo. Basically I like the way this photo is composed but it didn't work out for me as there is a lack of highlight in this photo.

Submitting one more pic with the rays of light with B&W ;)

Sorry if OT a bit, but for these rays kinds of pic, do you think B&W or color is nicer?

This image should do fairly well as a B&W... there are highlights, midtones and shadows. However. I might tweat this photo to have more highlight particularly the rays. Composition wise.... fairly ok except for a cutoff building on the left.

applying the rule of third may probably be of a problem as poses by this vantage point but if you do it, it will be great.

I like the the colour and contrast of #1. Is this pp?
#2 got a bigger image? :)

very cool pano... agreed! very nicely exposed too.... good choice to promote you to (master?) senior!!
Thanks. Not too sure about that.... my main worry is getting stump by questions I didn't even know and teaching others the wrong thing.

I am so happy. So many new seniors. Some of us can shake leg and relax already. LOL.

awesome Pano CT!
Thanks... but there is no way we gonna let you shake leg and relax...

Woops, missed your post CT. Very nicely exposed pano! The yellow light on the ground makes a good leading line
I also haven't submit my homework for Kit's outing last weekend haha :embrass:
Thanks. Honestly, I didn't pay attention to the lines...:sweatsm:... I was hurrying to get the settings right and finish the composite shots with whatever light left in the sky. Setting the tripod lower may help with the lines.

Nice capture and like what korbidp3k, the lines are leading the eyes.
I saw 2 cranes on the left side of the photo. maybe leaving them out would be better?
Thanks. Agree... crane out. I was paying attention to trying to get it balanced.

Agreed... Nice pano CT.. But I will do away with the cranes on the left..

This is like a massive uwa fisheye shot:bigeyes:
Crane out. Thanks. Didn't intended for the effect. I'm still quite new in pano and exploring what it can or cannot do and its effects. Now I started to realised that objects captured close to ya tends to be distorted when stitched. Even the skybridge is curved. btw... the bottom of the skybridge highlights are blown in this pano. grr....

anyone who went onto the skybridge uses a long telephoto lens and did close up? It should be interesting as you will get to look at the buildings......downwards....

After seeing all the pro photos, felt quite intimidated to show my photos.. haha.. but no matter what, I have to upload the best photos I took for your comments.. there are still a lot for me to learn :)

Liked your #2's perspective! I think more colors can be drawn out from the photo.
I actually took your pic to do some enhancements. (w/o your permission. Sorry!). I'll post if you give the green light.
