Aglio Olio
i-Cooked

Trying out a bit of over exposed photo. Hope it work...:embrass:

Aglio Olio! my favourite style of pasta :)
the lighting still quite acceptable for me. white balance is right on but the fork seems to take more attention away from the plate (at least for me).

The Aglio Olio itself looks quite tempting, though I find the overexposure not to my preference as it makes the pasta looks too white.
Agree that the fork and polka dot napkin are rather distracting ;p

Thanks for the comments!! Now I do find the fork took too much attention away from the main dish. Will take note on this. :)

It's good ;)

Hey I saw that recently Canon EOS World is organizing a taste photo contest and the winner will have the chance to participate to Dr Leslie Tay workshop at CIA Canon.

Dr Leslie Tay is a food photographer, creator of ieatishootipost blog and he makes a lot of mouth-watering photos.

Maybe you want to give a try

Thank Harry. Not really into photo contest, mine still not good enough :)

Your i-cooked is really getting out of hand, I demand to know who's the 'culprit' behind those mouth-watering dishes! :bsmilie:

Over exposing (distracting) areas does work for me (most of the time) as long as it doesn't take the detail off (the main subject). The aglio olio seems a lil over-done on my monitor but still, it looks really yummy

err...That was me? :bsmilie: Thanks bro.
Ya, i guess i over done it on Aglio Olio. Shall take note of it

Like they said -- check WB. You can do manual compensation at the time you take the shot (for example, shoot something white or gray and set it as manual WB), or you can do this at post-processing.

Thanks for dropping by. Ya I already learned how to adjust the wb from the bros here. May I know which photo you think that the wb is off so I can improve it.

Overall food at this place was nice but a bit too expensive... all this food plus a bowl of Lemak Puteh (Soup) cost $78 for 2....
