Quality really drops big time, from bad to worst  The last time I had it was like a year ago and I didn't even finish half.
My boy however, love the soggy-super salty carrot cake :dunno:

I really enjoyed your food photos and was wondering which camera was used to take these wonderful photos. Also generally what focal length do you commonly photograph food at? (ie. 50 mm on your zoom lens or variable) table-top tripod or hand held? Other seniors can comment what's a good lens for this kind of food photography(I wanna do my own food blog after being inpired here) FX vs DX format? Many Thanks in advance. One problem I personally face is that how much of the dish should be in focus and how much sould be blurred. Any tips?

Thank you Calvin. I using 60D. As for my focal length, I don't usually take note of that. I just zoom and frame it to what I want to compose with my photo. I used to take my photos with 50mm f1.8 when i'm at home. That was when i still have my 50mm. For me its difficult to use 50mm as I find it too tight to be use in restaurant.... Unless you don't mind stand up and move around the table for your food shot :)

All my food photos were hand held. I don't use my table top tripod because i'm lazy and it will restrict my composition :bsmilie:

A prime lens will be good for food photography, a lot of food photographer use Marco lens for their photo shoot.

How much food to be in focus really depend on how you want to compose your photo. As long as the viewer can still see what dishes you are trying to show and not been blurred out by the thin DOF will be fine.

Hope to see your thread soon :)

i love that HK hokkien mee too...!! but i dunno got some ppl i know didn't quite liked it... maybe their quality is not consistent....

didn't try the penang chendol...?? i love the chendol too...

i'd surely go back there one day again... cos i've yet eaten anything else besides the chendol and KL HKM... :)

Serangoon Garden FC used to have the Newton CKT a few years back, but the old man retired liao, so there's no more good CKT stall there...

My fav stall there is now the Kway Chap.. used to be a Makansutra Singapore Food Legend...

Think Kovan market nearby has better food..

Most expensive yet not filling wanton mee... but I like the sauces... Taste kind of special compare to others.

The Garden Kway Chap of ex-Blanco Court? It's still there but operate only till mid day. The son took over and the quality is still there. After this CNY, price adjusted and portion reduced
