New photo leaks of OM-D

Anyone noticed the "two stage" locking of the vertical grip? Looks like there is 1 grip that adds a shutter release, then another for the battery pack and vertical shooting and additional FN button... this is a weird design...

Weird is okay. I wonder if you can skip the extra grip and just add the battery grip, if you don't want all of it.

I would probably not care about the battery grip but the other grip would be essential to use long lenses. The OM-series was fine with shorter lenses but slippery otherwise.

Could be similar to old slr such as the Nikon F2 or Canon F1 in which the vertical grip and battery pack are separate components.

looks hella ugly to me :dunno: because of the proportion.. it actually hurts to look at haha

Original look..complete with vert and horz grips.

Thanks for posting. Haha, the original looks horrible with the grips.

here's the front w/o the grip... looks photoshopped but close

The lens is definitely photoshopped . Overall a very nice presentation. But pricey =S especially to existing G3 owners.

The VG grips seems very optional for street shooting but will be a good bargain if the package comes with them.

The silver E-M5 looks good but I think it would be even nicer if the controls were silver too.

Is this the actual image? If so, then not too bad, agree with K3N, silver and basic setup looks good. Now, have to wait for the price and the review of the body and the 12-50mm kits lens, especially the kit lens after all the initial negative feedbacks from a lot of people...

Basic camera, basic camera + grip, basic camera + grip + battery compartment.

From the look of it, not possible basic camera + battery compartment...true?

not a 1:1 comparison but should give an idea about the size

The 2 things I wish for are, 'direct compatibility' with 4/3 lens on the OM-D (without adaptor - which is not likely possible, but strangely Pentax K-01 managed to do it hmmm) and have as awesome focusing speed with 4/3 lens (e.g, 12-60, since it is not CD-AF) too! That way, I can ditch my E3 and justify with 1 OM-D.

Bro, k01 is current pentax dslr k mount so that's y can AF with dslr lens. The cam body itself is pretty big and heavier I suppose needs good balance as well , but pentax has some good pancakes. There's suppose a weatherproof adapter to go with 43 lenses, however there had been no rumors on pdaf speed improvements, which is sad. I love the iq and build of zd 50/2 but hate the ee-or speed on pens.

looks like its only slightly taller than an E-P3

The EP3 looks so much more better . Too DSLR- looking for my taste.
