Lol. I'm not surprised! So will his future blog posts be "neutral" ? I think not.

Well, to his credit, he's never claimed to be neutral.

I have always, always been an admitted Olympus fanboy, and I took every opportunity to show that.

Sounds pretty cool – To be able to join a company whose products you admire & enjoy, and get paid for 'playing' with those products — I'd have no complaints ;p

Back on topic.

*Reminds self not to look at images of the GX7*

Up this thread as it seems like everyone else focus is on the em1 now and forgot about the soon (or delay..) availability of this cam.. lol..

When is it coming btw?!

Yes, interested to know also...

Just read a very in depth review of the GX7 from Amateur photographer 14Sep 2013 issue.

Rated a 85% overall
Features 9/10
Handling 8/10
Noise / Resolution 27/30
Dynamic range 8/10
Metering 8/10
AF 8/10
LCD/ VF 9/10

It's stated if mounted with a lens with IS , lens IS will automatically override body IS and comes with an improved sensor than GX1.

Looks to be a very good contender amongst the EP5 and EM-1. :)

EP5 scored an overall of 86% In their tests

Do you read the physical copy? I'm waiting to get the emagazine on my ipad via iTunes but the latest version is 7sep edition. Sigh

E-copy ; the UK version.
The saddest thing is it makes me realize how much cheaper cameras are in the UK.

Imagine OMD is sold with a free HLD-6 and Lightroom.

GX7 is sold bundled with a 20/1.7 II , extra battery , case and a 32gb extreme SD , all at similar or cheaper prices than SG

So far saw a guy selling pre-order in ebay sg. $1500 for body + 20mm. Stated availability as 21 sep or later.

That's quite reasonable I guess. The lens alone can resell for at least $350. $1100 for a GX7 body to me is worth it.

Aka can look forward to GX7 street prices though I'll be sticking to my EP5 :)

EP5 with a 17/1.8 and VF4 was selling at $1988 - few months back remember ? I'm thankful I didn't spend much for the set seeing how fast prices have dropped for the EP5 set.

Anyone came across any reviews relating how its IBIS perform?

Currently holding EPL1 and playing around with legacy lens.

If the GX7's IBIS performs better than EPL1's then I do need to go hungry :( for two months just to save enough for EM1

I was thinking the new 20mm might fetch better price than old version due to its pure black colour.. keke..

Some reviews says the ibis is just like the ep3/epl5

Dun mind sharing the URL to those reviews?

Have tried googled it but always gotten those reviews that merely states that it has IBIS but not test it...

Please read at the bottom of this URL about the comparison of OMD EM5 and Lumix GX7 about IBIS thingy. Clearly, the winner goes to OMD EM5 in term of shooting stills and videos with 5-axis IBIS. UNLESS you have 12-35mm and 35-100mm F2.8 which are built in OIS, you can rest assured these lens would work flawlessly with GX7.

Forget to put URL link on my previous message.

It defeats the purpose of having ibs if you still need to use lenses with ois. If the ibs is like epl5, then you are better off buying the em5 or ep5, which are about the same price.

So how can it be a game changer like what the company said if it cannot clearly surpass the older models of its only competitor?
