OK.. one big missing item compared with GH3.. no mic input !! How to use my Rode? Sure.. can use external recorder and sync in Post.. but many times for me thats not an option.. so looks like the GX7 cant replace the GH3

Read it. Disclaimer to all. This is based on pre production fw. So IQ etc is not final.
One sentence under the "speed" section stood out: “Unfortunately the 20mm f1.7 II was not as quick as focusing." Bummer =( hope this will be improved in ver 1.0.
So fast I basically see 2 “plus" points over the EP5 : the EVF is inbuilt and the presence of in camera stitching for Panaroma mode. In comparison , the EP5 has its "plus-es" such as live bulb & live time, ISO100 etc.
Kinda glad Pana is now moving into providing camera IS , had always felt that Pana didn't want to do this to ensure it would get its way with higher lens prices.
Wonder will my wife murder me if I end up owning the EM5 , EP5 and GX7 , haha.

Haha , scary thought coming to the branded bag. Lets wait for GX7 to arrive , check out e prices and the reviews from the brothers here n decide what happens next. If the body hits $1.3K and above, it's prob too high for me.
Most prob if I get the GX7 I'm forgoing the 20/1.7 MKII too. Haven't really heard much great things about it though inside I'm hoping Pana will have improved e lens after so many years.

Its the same philosophy for them on us why we wanted more than one body. . Haha..
According to internet, GX7 body price is about SGD$1,200.
Recently a friend asked me to go along to Cathay and see the RX100 M2 (Made in China) on demo. The separately sold SONY FDA-EV1MK EVF KIT costs about SGD$630. In my opinion, it looked unwieldy and clumsy when put on the camera body. I read it takes a l......o......n......g time to start the EVF after you power up the camera body.
Also, in my opinion the old RX100 (Made in Japan) is a far better camera than the new RX100 M2.

I'm very tempted to buy a GX7 even though I know I'm being indulgent if I do haha.
But so many annoyances (though minor) on the EM5 seem 'fixed' on the GX7
- wireless connectivity
- built in flash
- EVF on the left
- larger AE-L button (have to try it in real life but it looks far more useable). I hope you can assign AF to it and use it like an AF-ON button.
- larger grip without accessory grip attachment (but how it feels to hold in real life remains to be seen).
- possibility of picking up a 20mm f1,7 in a kit at a slight discount.
Oh mannn.. should I sell my Nikon gear and go m43 all out LOL.

Doesn't matter to me because I don't have an external mic also.. not so pro.. kekeke
