New Leica Store in Singapore

Ah, no wonder they closed their Sony Alpha boutique in Parkway Parade. Real pity since Sony is making a really big push with their NEX and SLT cameras.

Is the Ti M9 for sale or only for show?

In my opinion, dedicated boutiques are silly unless you are Apple with a ton of third party accessories.

I think this is a good marketing move by Leica. Just like dedicated watch boutiques, it will appeal to the tourists with lots of cash who will rather buy from the "official" brand boutique and pay retail prices than to buy from the dealers. This is especially true if they r not familiar with the local Market and wouldn't take their chances with dealers.

I foresee more tourists will be going home with their spanking new m9 n noct .95.

Good Point

Hmm .. you think they got a 50 Lux BP Pre-ASPH somewhere :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Someone or a group of collectors when retired should also open a Vintage/Classic Leica shop showcasing the classic wonders and at the same time be a 2nd hand dealer for all things Leica, bonus would be honest and skilled servicing and restoration or accelerated ageing, that i can afford to step in to take a look. That would be a dream come true.

There is a term for that.. 4 corners is called a square, Doc!

a square is a special case of a quadrangle, where all 4 sides of of equal length and each corner a right-angle. the general form is a quadrangle, or sometimes called a quadrilateral or a tetragon.

other well-known forms of the quadrangle include the rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid, and kite...

after leica 101, we have geometry 101 :thumbsup::bsmilie:

LoL..:bsmilie::bsmilie: Geometry specialist!:thumbsup:

They have the 50mm Summilux in stock in both colors, f/0.95 Noctilux and a 24mm Summilux, a lot of the Summicron and slower lenses as well.

Not to mention about half a dozen M9s in the displays.

Already some holes in their display because lenses have been sold like the 90mm Summicron. Wonder how long it will be before their displays are empty.

We shouldn't complain - it means one more place to check out. :thumbsup:

btw Thomas, the lens flare quite nice man! haha!

Thanks bro...still exploring this wartime coated Summitar lens...like the built...the filter is unique...has a #1 light yellow filter in front of it for this shot...not too sure is the flare of the lens or due to the filter...will find out after more shooting...:D
