When this boutique here, wonder if it would affect the price of leica offered by the local a.d. here.
I mean the price will be tightly controlled.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that people shouldn't buy Leica products. I'm just stating a point against the previous post, which is in all honesty, true

In business...if the branding works and people are willing to pay...there is nothing wrong at all...if some can find the different and the others cannot...let it be...

Leica cannot force people to buy their stuffs...if you find it not good enough or too expensive...walk away...don't buy...

Well the benefit of the leica boutique is that maybe you can try on the different lenses or cameras or accessories before plunking down your money. I believe I saw a post somewhere that the boutique are there to serve the customer and the Leica brand and not to make profits from direct sales.

Which is good, considering that most shops are rather skittish letting you try Leica stuffs, because Leica loses its values once exposed to the air outside its packaging boxes ;p

Went to seah street today so pop by the new leica store.Its still under renovation so took a peep and the store looks very nice overall.They have a round logo on each door but its wrap up at the moment.

The one in Taipei allows people to play with the cameras, no questions asked. Think it's run by Schmidt as well.

I can fully understand how you feel and I really empathize with you.

The amount of money you spend on just ONE leica lens could buy my entire series of Voigtlander lenses... from 12mm to 90mm with some cash to spare...

And you can still get your picture onto my WONDERFUL CUSTOMERS WALL OF FAME. :bsmilie:
