Hi all,
I believe u guys out there are fortunate to have so many choices of dry cabinets.
Please let me share my experience, I bought my first dry cabinet sometimes back ard 1986...which i m still using it. The dry cabinet i have (Dry-cabi) was imported from Japan thru' an agent here in sg. My dry cabinet is usually full.....with lenses, cameras, slides and now discs. Since the day I brought it home (with the curtesy of my friend who drive me home), i have only switched it off twice...thats where i shifted house twice. This dry cabinet never failed me......except it is rather congested now. My dry cabinet has a transformer that is built outside (unlike today's model are built internally) which is cumbersome and unsightly.
The only dislike about my dry cabinet is its colour. I wonder why the manufacturer always painted them black. It doesn't matched my furniture of my room. May be you guys may take note on this. Apart from this, i would suggest that those who are planning to buy 1, think of the long term.....Ask yourself, how far would u go from here in photography? If the answer is yes and very far, do invest in a higher capacity dry cabinet and do your study well.
