Well put together picture, lighting is just right, it has that whimpsical feel to it. I nearly like the picture because of a few glaring things that becoming really annoying.

The table setting is all wacked. Why are there 3 spoons set above the plate? The normal table setting will have a desert fork and spoon there. There is another knife to the right of the dinner's plate, where is the corresponding fork to the left? And to top everything off, why are there a glass of red wine and a glass of white wine poured at the same time? And the glass with the white wine, poured way too full, very not elegant.

Otherwise, I would have liked the picture.

I love your bridal shots

Thanks anyway Deadpoet, we're more out to fill the table with colours than to follow the right set of cutlery... but probably learn from this as well, thanks for highlighting...

Good save!!! :bsmilie: who cares about techincalities when u are shooting art, fashion or your portfolio right?

btw... for the other set of recently posted pictures, there are quite a fair bit of distracting reflections that perhaps were supposed to be there to fill up the frame too? :bsmilie:

A.A, I am surprise, you are getting soft these days.

Technicalities are funny things, when done right, no one notices, if done incorrectly, everyone sees it as a sore thumb.

PBS is an established well regarded professional photographer. We all have seen his work. Some and some do not like his style, and that is perfectly fine. However, we all agree the technical part of this photography was usually spot on, from make up, art direction, styling, DI, lighting and presentation.

For the picture of the woman at the dinning table, the technicality of styling was all wrong, from the red and white wine thing, to the table setting, and also, I forgot to mention, the cheap looking wine glasses looked out of place with the much nicer silverware and plates.

These technicalities have nothing to do with art nor fashion. These are attention to details, part of being a professional photographer. I am sure it’s merely an oversight. But I do not expect this from a professional.

I really nearly like this picture. Those wine glasses and wines really are annoying.

Good on ya, never expect all to like or dislike.... It's public here... I agree it's better with Silverware, very unfortunately, non such budget for high end silverware, but I thought the focus was on people, then the picking of the wrongly used cutlery, sure the other set of pictures has high flary frames, I like it that way... and yes A.A, I like it my way...

Deadpoet maybe correct in your opinion, but it really didn't bother me... but thanks...
