I started photography in 1984 after school and my first camera was not a Pentax but a Cosina CT-1A nad then the Chinnon CP-7m

my first Pentax is K-5, still using it.. came from Canon, never look back.
using K-01 with manual lenses, K-5 for auto lenses... GR for convenience.
waiting for K-3 prices to drop in BnS... when can I buy one for $600?

Hi hi, not master lah.. no tripod was used, Pentax SR works!!! Anyway, have to wait for the moments when they don't move much or the best lighting is out. I think i took quite a number of shots and delete most of it.
I remember I was still practising manual focussing and trying to keep the ISO at 800. Any higher, the K7 does not shine. :X

Yeah.. seems like the largest boom in users was in the K5/Kx period.
Sure hope to see another Pentax camera that breaks down the branding barrier like those 2 cameras, soon.

my first pentax was a K-X, navy blue version served me well for more than a year before upgrading to K5... still using it, though not as often now as main camera is now the more portable GR.
K5 is still useful for the interchangeable lens, especially if shooting macro, GR has more limitations. Probably not gonna upgrade until the K5 becomes "K.O" :bsmilie:
