agreed...personally I think Canon's after sales service are good. But that's at the cost of higher "upfront" capital cost as compared to places like HK (which I have no doubt service standards should be similar)

Would you prefer to pay for your AS on cam or for multiple IS on lenses? ;) And only "L" lens are "good"... the consumer lenses sometimes CMI.
Frankly speaking, Minolta G lenses (no IS) pricing are almost equivalent to Canon's L IS. :(

Circular states for US as well:

Any news from KM singapore regarding the change in their policy yet? This is a global product, not your "Made in your local country" kind like Coke or sumthing like that. Hence, why isnt KM singapore doing about it? Coz they're slow i guess...

If there's no instructions from KM's HQ, they also can't do anything.

Complain to all HQ.
We pay for the camera, the repair cost and now, it is their problem and they sit there doing nothing? I will be more mad if I changed my CCD when it spoilt as I sure wouldn't get back my $. Lucky that I decide not to repair and also, learn that CCD spoilt is a known problem. Now oversea got FOC repair n local not yet. I wonder how can Singapore be good in service??? :nono:

I guess we juz have to give them alittle more time, this thing is quite serious, the whole world is talking about it so I doubt they will play around with it.

i think tis doesn't concern sg as a whole... if u complain about services rendered at those Lucky Plaza, Sim Lim Square, those shops operated by Singaporeans, ya... u will get results... but to use press against a foreign MNC... dun think will work, the press also might be liable if your statement is untrue... and alot of verification need to be done, else become SPH kena owned...

NKF : SPH - 0:1
KM : SPH - 1:0

Yeah, think thats a good idea considering how many ppl own digicams, not all would have access to this kind of news and they're in the dark about why their cams are failing them for no apparent reason. They might just take it down to bad luck or how things arent made like they used to, both which arent the case.

Early bonus for most of us. $250, not cheap, can add another $250 for a KM flash (5600). YIPPE again. (Seem like this post is working ;p )

No one post reply har? Strange leh. Or didn't see this posting? Want to start new thread, wait admin  , heh heh! ;p ;)

Nikon is better. Got this sentence from their repairing policy. Wonder KM will do that or not? :dunno:

"In addition to repairing this problem free of charge, Nikon will reimburse the cost of repairs to those users who have already paid to have this problem corrected."
