Minolta free service for CCD problem

Frankly speaking, nowadays all those pro-consumer camera, still got market? With 5D, 350D, 70Ds ard and price, + - there. :think:
If want backup, a $500 to $800 camera will be good enough.

yes if its still under warranty, and you have to proof the defects.

Nikon is better. Got this sentence from their repairing policy. Wonder KM will do that or not? :think: :dunno:

"In addition to repairing this problem free of charge, Nikon will reimburse the cost of repairs to those users who have already paid to have this problem corrected."

Worse thing is I do not have the service chit anymore. Hopefully they are able to trace back via IC number.

your camera's serial number is all you need.

I also had CCD service by S$250 in JAN 05, now problem came again. KM really used SONY suck CCD.
can I get service free and refund last service charge?

I think that kind of refunding is not possible. Probably a free upgrade may be a likelyhood. Just a thought.

SONY start the free service alreay from OCT 3, also they refunded the previous service charge on CCD.

KM should be the same, so, canon5D, I think u just go to KM SG to claim back ur money lah.

Just come back from KM service center.

For those who haven't been to the new center, here is how you find it.
When you reach the building, you will see a KM logo there and if you enter the front entrance, you will see a door to KM office. That is wrong, the actual SC is at another side.

You need to walk further down to another lobby and which is B. Go inside, the lifts is on your left. Go to 5th floor (Got instruction at the main lobby) and once u exit the lift, you shouldn't miss the SC which is on your right. Simple?

Ok, I was told by the technician that it will take time for my 7i to get repair. It is due to the CCD board not arrive yet. So, for those who need the camera, get another one for temporary use first.

About whether refunding for those CCD been repaired, I better keep to myself. Don't wish to write down here.

So, faster bring down your Spoilt camera (CCD only) for a FOC change. Good luck!

I think I am as over the week end, they are close and I reach there around 0910.

If you put a normal repair, it is around there. 14 working days abt 3 wk and mostly, ended up to a month. Giving it a month, it is ard 17th of next month. On top of that, this is a BIG repair, not a small one. So, let them take the time and repair and give us a good camera in the end la. Maybe time to get a 35mm for time being or lend for other. Relax la.

Actually u r rite, they just keeping our cam while waiting for new chip come in ... so if u send in just when the chip arrive, ur waiting time shorten...

Just coincide to day off, otherwise KM service opening hour same with normal working hour, a bit ridiculous ....
