As long as locals rant and grumble in various Internet forums (just like what you all have done here), to the newspapers, in radio talk and TV interview shows, to each other on the MRT, in the office, market, eating places....the powerful will heave a sigh of relief.

More of the same coffee shop curses and complaints.
Typical Singaporean.
Good.
They are letting off steam and will forget in 2 weeks.

But if there is no response.
All is quiet.
Then they worry.

It means people are silently furious and not forgetting.
In Transactional Analysis terms, it is called Collecting Red Stamps.
At one point, called the tipping point, it will explode. Hopefully not around election.

How do you feel when you see old man and woman well into their retire age still trying to

make a living by cleaning toliets and clearing coffeeshop tables ? As well as well educated

man in their late forties driving taxis just because they cant find jobs becuz of their age and

also young, supposingly promising graduates standing around PC shows, shopping malls and

MRT stations pulling ppl trying to sell them insurances?

Naturally some of us feel sad for these grp of ppl, something is wrong and this shouldnt be a

common sight in spore. But as for those ppl, they don't feel sad or shameful, they cant

afford to. To earn MORE MONEY is the motivation that drives each and every of them to

continue carrying the lives they are leading now.


Thou telling us u need more money to motivate youself to make their lives better.

Actually I'm not motivated by any high purpose but I'm definitely not motivated by money. You really don't know me, but since you frequent the IR Forum and probably have gone on outings with them, you might find it refreshing to ask the 'pioneers' about me and IR camera conversions and working for money.

As for working, no I don't work for happines and joy, I live in the real world and work to live, not work to rape everyone of everything.

CPF Top-Up, NSS, Growth Dividends... these quick release valves are activated once every four to five years, so no danger of pressure overload.

Buying small useless barang barangs which will be discarded sooner or later after years of neglect.. I see a future where there will be a lot more old men and women well into their retired ages doing that.

Life is all about planning, and while I do not deny (note, I already said I do not hor) that there are people who did not really have a say in their plight right now, what other solution would you suggest? For every toilet cleaner uncle, there will be a certain number of people who will come up with sob stories to try to get aid as well when they want to feed various habits like smoking and drinking or gambling or what not. And that is the truth of life. People lie.

It is definitely very easy to be an armchair critic and say

I CAN DO THE JOB BETTER IF YOU GAVE IT TO ME

But is it really that easy? Pay is never really justifiable. If we were really paid the amount of money we generate for our company, you can forget about buying even a Pentax K100D, thanks.

I believe in forming opinions of a person by MYSELF, and I have not judged you in any way. It is simply a pastime to simply refute people with the same logic that they have applied to a subject. And usually, they are not happy, and I can't see why! I mean, if you can put it one way, why can't you accept the exact reverse when I throw it back at you, in your own context?

I do not mean to offend anyone, simply expressing my opinions, if I mean to offend you can probably sense it very easily, it will not be just in jest. Acidness is very easy to dish out.

In my view, I feel that everything in life is destined to happened. What really matter is how much you treasure your belonging and people around you. It is true that money makes the world goes round. But at the end of the day, are you happy with what you have?

We like to take photo and enjoy our own work. We have people who we love and people who love us. These few factors are priceless.

Let's take one example. If you have the money but you are alone without camera and people who you need. Will you be happy.

My purpose is to hope that you guys will calm down and not be too "heat up" with what had happened.
