becareful of the shadow cast. ;)

i going to post something similar... not a very pleased product but becos the sponge wasn't well baked. :(

can't quite get rid of the shadow because i shot it at night. Or do u have any idea how to avoid it? Cannot wait till morning coz by then, it would be gone :bsmilie:

The sponge looked okay to me ;) [if u were talking about the swiss roll that is]

one way is to use a flash or find a lamp and shine on it... lol. it might work you know. haha. the best is when you shoot near a window in the day with curtains on ur windows then you will have naturally diffused light. :)

It looks delicious... =D~~

I would have chosen a slightly higher angle so as to avoid making the front but out of focused buns occupy so much of the picture.

You baked that too? Looks delicious :)

Like tSkye mentioned, it would look even nicer at a higher angle and the picture looks abit underexposed. Is the vignetting added on purpose?
Because it made the picture even darker hehe. Looking forward to more ;)

i think maameemoomoo was excited when she opened the oven and took pictures of it when it was still in oven.

it sure looks like just out of oven! can i have one? :)

I noticed that too. But the thing is, the background is really unsightly. I didn't wanna raise my camera any higher because that way, more of the background will be exposed, no?

Perhaps raise the camera at a higher angle and tilt it down slightly more?

I shoot the pic in the kitchen with bad lighting. Perhaps that was why it looked underexposed? I roughly can guess what is vignetting but for my case, no vignetting was added. I wouldn't how to also! :embrass:

Thanks for your C&Cs guys.. Appreciate your effort and time! Looking fwd to improve myself in the coming months *fingers crossed*! ;p

Lol!

U are half correct ;)

It was just out of the oven indeed but didn't shoot while it was in the oven. Was on the hob instead hence the mentioned 'unsightly background'.

And i was indeed quite excited but not because i couldn't wait to photograph it but because i wanna eat it HOT! :bsmilie:

can i have one? :)
Sure.. na, have one! :sticktong

pssst... its not good to eat baked stuff immediately out of the oven!

It is not?!

Why?

I've been eating bakes out of the oven, almost immediately for quite sometime already. Anything to do with 'heat'?

Grin. Thanks! But a bit too al dente though i cooked the pasta for quite sometime. I wonder if all wheat pasta are like this?

U can try cooking this yourself. Easy peasy! ;)

I don't quite remember why. But that's wat my shifu told me. Same thing for muffins. You cant eat it when it is hot although I think that they taste they best when hot. :)

haha.

Wah.. got shifu ah?

Oh, okay, i think i roughly know what where u getting. Your shifu probably meant cakes, especially butter cakes/ muffins.. because usually, as far as we [normal homo sapiens] concern, eating straight out from the oven is oh-so-good but for these shifus, they like them overnight. They usually say, taste even better the next day!

Something to do with the taste/butter to develop further..

But as for buns, not quite so. Eat ASAP! However, for loaf, must wait for half an hour before slicing..

:embrass: Ok lah.. hehehehehehhee.. as long as edible can liao :P

I'm hungry...looks good and yummy;p

half right... certain cakes are better after 1 day. e.g. butter cakes and fruit cakes. :D
post more pics pls.

by the way... the folk in the spaghetti is rather distracting. but it will be good if a spoon and folk are by the side of the plate... at least it gives a fine dining feeling? hehe.

Uh huh.. in a nutshell, heavy cakes mostly.

Ahh.. something i suck at. Styling. I was contemplating on not having the fork at all initially. In the end, i came up with this.. :bsmilie:

I'll try your idea next time! ;)
