It does. Better ask exactly what comes with it and what does not. GST included? Usually excluded, which means another $35. Is it a returned unit - check for signs. Of course, they are likely to clean it up, repack it properly. Check the warranty card - local or grey import? Then you decide whether you want to take the risk.

LX5 made in Japan, but lower end P&S prob made in china

anyway i don't think the supply will be disrupted very severely... made in japan doesn't mean 100% made in japan, if more than 50% of the manufacturing process is made in japan, it can be labeled as made in japan... same principle as for swiss watches.
