LX5 - Availability in Singapore & elsewhere

after reading 35pages of this thread, do anyone seriously think one can still go online and order and wait for days/weeks for the stuff to arrive?? CERTAINLY NOT!

SCREW THE POTENTIAL SAVINGS! So this afternoon, i skive off work and headed to MS color (AMK 711) to get it, $679 with free pouch and 8gb. No screen protector. Was quoted $15 bucks!! Didn't get it, simply too ex. and immediately fly to panansonic at bt merah to redeem the freebies (leather case, garskin and 'travel kit').

For those considering, wait no more!!! STOP torturing yourself!!! (i now sound like a lumix salesman at song brother hor... kekeke...) The f2 aperture and 24mm wide angle is god send, being longing for f2 lens for my SLR but was so freaking expensive! damn those manufacturer!

It's actually a lenspen, remove the front cover. It's a travel kit aimed for photographers and photo enthusiasts as that's all you need to clean your lens/LCD when you're moving around , like the cloth is mostly for clearing the fogging on the lens if you're going in and out of aircon places

Yup, still have stock. Just came back with a black LX5, the white glossy paint not impressive as classic black for me.

Just got a white LX5 for my wife on Saturday from MS Color.

Must say I am impressed by their promptness in replying to my emails (kudos to Florence!) and also their service (served by a nice chap!). Got my free gifts from Panasonic this morning too and again was very fast! The free case is of a very nice build quality but too bad it only comes in black color. Pairing the white LX5 with the brown leather one will be very cool!

Of course the LX5 is a great camera! Love the way it handles all the shots and the colors! On the whole a :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: camera! My wife is loving it!

Congrats on your purchase! Yes there's a lens cap string included in the package. It is by itself and sealed in a white plastic bag. Quite easy to miss it actually. Hope you never throw away any packaging yet though cos one might just mistake that there's nothing inside and throw it away!!!

Looks like there is a big price drop for the LX5 after the promotions have snagged about almost everyone who is all ready to buy???

If I were you I will at minimum call/check with at least 3 other places for the price before deciding where to buy... time is on your side :thumbsup:

I remember, I called up Alan (Funan) to inquired a camera, quoted me less hundred buck and later when I reached there, its' isn't cheaper. Its' a trick employed by them. From that moment onwards, I never goes there to buy.
