thanks ... now trying to figure out how to take good photos with this powerful little camera ....

LX3 @ Penang RM1490, 4gb panasonic SDHC, pana pouch, mini trpod

Try unscrewing with the lens cap on. It gives you more grip for turning. You are supposed to turn it anti-clockwise btw. Good luck.

Still doesn't work for me. I wonder if the lens ring front is supposed to be this difficult to unscrew?

I just bought my LX3 abt 3weeks ago. I am beginner hence I have a few qns.

The focus button how to I use it when I am in Manual Mode?

Usually which metering and AF should I use?

TIA!

Great deal! :)

Do you think the mini Tripod, Extra 3rd party battery, Screen Protector something worth to be considered as part of the deal. I think it just adds to the weight or to be discarded later.

Just wanna check with u guys is the LX3 compatiable with any of the remotes in the market? (or can it be used with a remote in the first place?)

Hi guys,

Just wanna check if there is any way to adjust the intensity of the flash when using P, A, S or M mode?

Seems the flash is too strong (even at Slow Synchro), esp so for macro mode or close objects.

In IA mode, I observe the camera will auto adjust the intensity of the flash...

Hey u can adjust it, by the exposure menu. Click exposure then press up serval time and you will be able to enter flash metering. Hmm my statement is quite vague over here as i do not have diagrame to show you; this is also being mentioned at the softcopy menu. So check it out. Anyway even if you lower the flash synchronization, you still need a diy diffuser to soften the lightings.

My 2 cents worth.

Agree on the diffuser part. Especially when taking macro.

Bro, I am not too sure...but can't seem to find the exposure menu you mentioned, only saw i.exposure menu with only off, low, std and high....didn't see any flash settings...

care to enlighten? mine is firmware 1.2 btw.

Firmware 1.2 the newest right? Anyway should be the same. U know the up down right left button. U click on the up button (exposure). Then u continue to press up a few time should be able to set the flash exposure. If i am nt wrong u got to eject ur flash. Not sure whether can this done in IA mode. Normally i am using A, P, S, M. Camera not with me nw...

Hope this help.
