If not a guaranteed place in the UEFA also buay pai la.... just like BM will be winning this season without serious challenge maybe Rafa can content BM there.... maybe a final with BM that will be a dream match Gand Final finale!;p:devil:

Yet another buang... looks like this rough patch is not going way anytime soon...

It's never easy being an Liverpool fan, supported since the spiceboys era, seen my share of false dawns. Thought Rafa would be the one who restore Liverpool's pride, more so when he brought back big ears no.5 but then it seems to be another false dawn yet again...

We are not good enough, says Carragher

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher claims the club's problems run deeper than their shock FA Cup exit to Barnsley at the weekend suggested.

Despite taking the lead against the Championship side Rafael Benitez's team conceded an injury-time winner to increase the pressure on the under-fire manager and under-performing players.

The Anfield club are 19 points adrift of Premier League leaders Arsenal and are facing a battle to secure fourth place which is the minimum expected at the start of every season.

'I wouldn't call this just a bad spell,' Carragher said.

'It's been a lot longer than that. We realise we are not playing well enough. It's not a matter of putting your finger on one reason.

'It's simply because we have not been good enough. We've still got the Champions League to play for and we have to fight for that fourth place, so every league game is going to be important. We have to make sure we are in the Champions League next season.'

Things do not get any easier for Liverpool as tomorrow they face Inter Milan, who lead Serie A by 11 points, in the first leg of their Champions League second round match at Anfield.

'At every club there are ups and downs, but we realise we are going to get a lot of criticism in the next few days and rightly so,' added Carragher.

'We've got a massive game coming up against Inter, so we're going to have to get over this because the Champions League is massive for us now.

'It's the only thing we have left that we can win.'

Rafa, YOU'LL NEVER WALK out of Anfield ALONE!!!!

INTER FEAR `INCREDIBLE` ANFIELD

Julio Cruz says the intimidating atmosphere at Anfield could be the biggest threat to Inter's European dreams.

The reigning Serie A champions take on Liverpool in the first leg of their Champions League first knockout stage tie on Tuesday night.

The Nerazzurri are heading for another domestic title as they lead the table by 11 points this season, while Liverpool are still smarting from that shock home FA Cup defeat by Barnsley.

But Argentine striker Cruz says the atmosphere on a big European night on Merseyside can be a great leveller.

He told the club's official website: "The atmosphere at the stadium will be incredible. And Liverpool have some fantastic players, but Inter start on the same level."

While Liverpool have struggled to recreate the domestic glory days of years gone by, they've still managed to reach two Champions League finals in the last three seasons. A fact not lost on Cruz.

He added: "The Champions League is a strange competition, there are many teams seen as favourites to win it, but then it can happen that Liverpool, for example, reach the final twice in three years. There's definitely a reason why they do much better in the cup than in the championship..."

Inter have been strongly fancied to go all the way in Europe's premier club competition in the last two seasons.

But all they have to show for those runs are painful knockout exits at the hands of Spanish sides Villarreal and Valencia.

Cruz said: "What happened in the past is a lesson for us. We got knocked out against Valencia last year despite drawing both matches. We have realised that we have to play to win and do things well. This is the only way to get through the round."

Inter will play the second leg against Liverpool in their own San Siro stadium, but Cruz says their focus is currently trained on Tuesday night at Anfield.

"We mustn't think that this might be an advantage. We have to try and do things well without thinking about the return leg at home, and try to kill off the match before the game in Milan."

Inter squad

Goalkeepers: 1 Toldo, 12 Julio Cesar, 22 Orlandoni.

Defenders: 2 Cordoba, 4 Zanetti, 6 Maxwell, 13 Maicon, 16 Burdisso, 23 Materazzi, 24 Rivas, 26 Chivu.

Midfielders: 5 Stankovic, 7 Figo, 14 Vieira, 19 Cambiasso, 28 Maniche, 30 Pelé.

Strikers: 8 Ibrahimovic, 9 Cruz, 18 Crespo, 29 Suazo.
