Which would you rather have, get thumped by Manure 4-0 or get embarrassed by Barnley 1-2? :sweatsm:
You watched???
:bsmilie:
To be thumped by Man Ure at OT is reasonably acceptable bcos u get **** anyway.
To get embarassed by Barnsley, a 2nd div team at Ainfield - CMI :bsmilie:
our closet "fan" has obvously recovered very well from the derby defeat.
welcome back until the next defeat :sweatsm:
for the true fans, soon only 4th place will be left

It was really a shocking news to hear that Liverpool went down 1-2 and what was equally shocking was Rafa's plan of leaving out Gerrard, Pennant and the others. I wonder what was he thinking when he made his plan and perhaps it could be the impending CL match. But, when you are down, with injuries to the regulars and with not much dept in the various depts, you have to field your available best players and not leave them on the bench. Never mind that they may be tired playing too many matches but that's what professional players are highly paid to do the job. In such a situation, every players count and you can't afford to take any match lightly despite lesser known opponents. At least the fans can accept it if the results don't come their way but leaving out better players on the bench is totally unacceptable. Look at Man Utd last season. Being racked by injuries and suspensions, almost everyone played in all the matches and despite being taxed physically and mentally with the number of games played, they still managed to win the domestic title and went far in the CL.
Sorry to say, but with the way Rafa handles your team, it looks like even the CL, the only glimmer of hope, is in danger of slipping away. The only way to resurrect the team is next season with a new manager and a few new players to strengthen the team.
Oh pl you are too kind in your statement.
Really Rafa should stay and rebuild the team. Say in 3 to 5 years then they be EPL contenders again.![]()
If that happens, when you wear your Liverpool T-Shirts and walk along Orchard road, all you will get are people laughing at you or the odd sympathetic looks from fellow losers.![]()
No, lah, being good neighbours, it's not nice to rub salt into their wounds. We love challenges especially from strong opponents, don't forget that.:bsmilie:
I usually choose to wear my liverpool shirt when the team loses like today. You know why? Cos I support the team. I am not some loser looking to feel good by supporting a team he cares nuts about except that it was winning and so it makes him feel good. Those "fans" are the real losers.
I'm sure the same goes for fans of all clubs.
Sad to admit, you're right in the sense that we're probably not gonna win anything anytime soon. The rot is in too deep. Rafa or no Rafa, there's something wrong with the team. There's a sense of belief and mutual trust that is missing in our players.
Having said that, while I do not hate Rafa (yet), I think he should leave. He's lost the players. He is putting his ego above the club's welfare. He needs to climb off his high horse and admit he's not omnipotent. Getting rid of everyone who does not agree with you is just stupid. The whole point of an assistant manager and other staffs are to complement the manager and fill in where he lacks. Not to be yes men.
Dont assume about 4th place.![]()
where in my post did I assume 4th place?
