LF : E6 processing process.

What ISO and slide do they recommed?

For reference only...do at yr own risk
found this chinese document on E6 processing although not sure what kind of E6 chemicals do the china folks use : E6

At the end of the document, there is a table for the timing for room temperature processing.

for example to process at 28degree instead of 38degree, the timings are as followed:

28 degree
First Developer 18mins
Washing x2 1.5 mins
Reversal 4 mins
Color 14.5 mins
Bleach 3mins
fixer 9 mins

anyone keen to test? :p

no mention. i guess it will work for all slides and iSO as unlike B&W processing, E6 processing steps and timings are the same irregardless of the kind brand/ISO of E6 slides being used.

That's interesting cause i know someone who push Provia 400x to 800 or even 1600 and photohub pushes for them?

What i was referring to is if you use the same processing timing no matter u process a Fuji velvia 50 or a Kodar Ekktar 100 slide.
For pushing or pulling, you do change the processing timing but again it is not brand/iso specific. for example to push 2 stops using tetenal chemicals, I will have to add 5.5 mins to my 1st developer.

anyway the chinese document i link to is about developing at different temperature other than 38degree. It is for the developing at the rated ISO of the slide.

I don't think I'll be hand rolling my drum for 18 minutes hahaha.

after getting the chemicals, got itchy hands and try 1 development.

some uneven development observed:(

Can some one please list down the steps for E6 process, timing, temp based on the fuji hunt chemicals we have? I got hold of the chemicals but do not know the process.

Thanks
Angad

Looks good. Perhaps you may need 300ml rather than 270ml to be safe?

:think:i think because i roll the drum on water bath instead of on roller base where i used to develop 1 sheet with only 200ml of chemicals and the drums can get slanted easily on water...:(

I think next time i should just roll the drum on roller based instead of worrying too much about temperature...

hhaa i understand about the itchy hands part. looks good for 1st attempt.

Thats quite intereesting. However the CG of the drum is not in middle i think. Now your idea struck another new idea in me. why not use a stand with a roller in a water bath? get a rack that has an over hang, attach the roller on the top instead of the bottom. so when the drum tends to float in the bath, it will be "guided" by the rollers?

someone already did it if you search youtube. simple and nice to have.

Thats nice! I think I need to shoot a bit more to start another round of processing.

ha ha just shoot more. developing 6 in one shot will give better economy for chemical usage. by the way, do you have any experience on temperature change if i roll without water bath for 6mins?

I am not sure as i never did that before. i just put in the jobo water bath all the while. However from the demo, wootsk showed the temp diff is <4C. The slides turned out just fine as well. He started just slightly higher, the average temp was the recommened temp.

sweat100 n ahhong, joining us for bukit brown shoot this sunday @730am? if light is good, i can burn 4-6 slides i think based on what i have seen of Nikkornos recee photos.

and we will do developing after that?
