hi all,

i just gotten back from JEL.... its official they have taken over the distributorship of Tamron lenses in Singapore starting from this week, they were surprised to see a walk in customer at this point in time as they have not annouced the news i pressume.... I left my camera and my Tamron 180 with them, however their technical manager would not be around till Friday.... the fact that they took in my body and lens made me ASSUME that they will be providing service and post sales support to Tamron products in the future(i really hope i am right).... so I guess I will have to wait till Friday to get a concrete answer....

Hi, anybody know if JEL could clean my old Tamron lens with 2 patches of stain (fungus) ? I brought to Camera Workshop, but they said they can't do it. I do not want to waste money on cleaning if could not be done :cry:

It is a Tamron 200-400mm, f5.6 AF LD lens. HELP ! I love this lens.

I spoke with JEL. They will honor the warranty obligations from Tithes. For those of you who are waiting to buy Tamron, they said their new shipments should start arriving in early August.

Hi Bro,

Just decided to get the Tamron 17-55mm F2.8 last week. Call a shop and they quote $580 for 1 year shop warranty.

Now I heard about JEL.

My question is : what is the different between getting the len from any camera shop with JEL existing and getting the len without the existing of JEL ?

hi there... atm my lens is still sitting in their office... they just took over and has asked for my understanding that they would take sometime to take over the biz from tithes and the service equipments are not installed yet....

i cannot judge their service levels yet... but so far their poc had been very responsive, helpful and friendly.... top notch customer relationship management i must say...

thats all i can provide now....
