Yes I agree! Unless you are using non-IBIS camera like GH2,GH3,etc, then OIS would come in handy. That's why I love my OMD to the core.

For EPL5 the ibis is not the same as the EM5. So I find the lens OIS better than IBIS

Yes but to each his/her own. I prefer IBIS as the picture would look sharper. I seldom use OIS as the last resort like panning, at very low light area (enclosed dark exhibition area at Jurong Bird Park, MLP, etc).

Just ordered 12-35 and 35-100 from amazon jp and tenso... fingers crossed... hope to receive before CNY...

Sorry didn't update the forum.. Both lenses arrived last week.. I wasn't at home so had to go down to a Post Office to pick them up. No GST and nicely boxed up - in fact the packing for my 12-35mm box from third party was better with giant pillow bubble pack in the box than amazon.jp packing, which had the regular bubble pack.

And... best part, no GST.

Btw, both lenses are like the f2.8 DSLR L lenses from Canon.. Lovely n sharp in low light !!

No regrets!! And in time for CNY

Cost of 907g: 490 + 1800 = 2290

Hi guys, found my copy having tiny specks around the plastic part of the inner glass. They looked shiny and glittering. Glass is clean though.
Are they part of the plastic surface? Can anyone verify with your copy?

Best to check with Panny Service Centre. As far as I know they always ask for proof of purchase
