Wah lao! The whole world watching you now!

He shoot wide should be OK.
But if he need to swap in the field then he jia lart. ha ha!

Back to 75mm, do you guys have focusing issue with F8 lenses?

Hey, I'm using the 75mm f/8, day time is fine, but at night you can't see anything at all. Usually at night I focus on a very distance light source and guesstimate the composition with a level bubble.

An expert once told me that , you can use some laser pointer to mark out where is your desired frame ( during night time ). When you look into the ground glass, you then try to frame your shot based on the laser marker "red dots".

for day time, dun forget to get a good dark cloth to cut out the light on the ground glass. That will make the ground glass image brighter.

Film, however, is same price as in Singapore. So are we expensive or are are they cheap?
is 4x5 film readily available there? u might want to stock up while you are there.
Ruby film fridge is quite empty. Even Iiford 120 film are out of stock.

Ruby said their 4x5 film will be in at the end of the month, although when I asked them last month they also said that, maybe I missed out on the stock?

Just bought some expired Velvia and Provia 4X5 here, expired so about $1.7 each.....

I went into a small shop in Eindhoven, and saw about tonnes of 120 film stock.
Its still pretty much alive on MF here, but people didn't post much.

There is a very big Lomo shop in Amsterdam. When my negatives are done, will share.

(internet connection is horrible here)

Wah lao, does the F5.6 or even the F4 help?

bro, it helps a little bit... not much...

an easy way to find out , is to use your conventional DSLR and set to F8, put to the DOF preview and then look thru the prism in the evening.
Play around with aperture at F5.6 and see how dark it gets. :)

shooting at night with LF is really an arga arga job only. I will use the iphone app "pocket lightmeter" to help metering in the night

QFT, it helps if you are used to the focal length in the day time, so at night you would have a feel of what your lens is composing.

last night i tested the Paterson orbital processor by developing 2 sheets. It is a lot more convenient working in daylight then in total darkness. Also it is less prone to scratches especially when Shanghai film emulsion is kind of thin.
We need to do a shoot this weekend!

lai lai lai ....

Weekend cannot. Shooting some films tomorrow at Zion road during lunch hour. The coffee shop owner told me it is their last day tomorrow as garment is attacking there. Initially I want to move on there during one of the outing shot. But alot happened and we decided to have lunch at thiong bahru market instead.

old style coffee shops with mosaic tiles and wooden tables and chairs ?

Remember i mentioned the wayang stage in my earlier post before?

The above photo taken a few years back. I passed by yesterdayand saw that it has been given a new coat of red paint. Should look good on slide with good light. :)
