oh everything should be working fine, not falling apart badly or such. I got it 2nd hand years ago but never got it checked out by anyone. The sole LF outing I went one of the seniors inspected my f1 and told me some maintenance was needed. typically I packed it back into my case and forgot all about it.

I'll haul it out tomorrow for a look see myself. have about 3 film holders.

Most likely the problem I foresee is light leak from the bellow. You might need to tape the bellow already.

No one is shooting pin hole? A colleague bought the beautifully crafted Zero Image. I will try to drag him along next time. Both of us have young kids, so not too often do we get to do our own stuffs on weekends. The last time we managed to sneak out for a shoot was 6.30 in the morning! But hey, things will only get easier with each passing day!

If it is of any help - this is the way I deal with eBay auction:

1. Determine a maximum price that you are willing to pay. It's important to do this first - so that you don't get upset when you lose the bidding.

2. If the current price has exceeded your target price, walk away, don't join in the fray.

3. Otherwise use a sniping service to schedule your maximum bid at the last 30 second. There are also software that you can run on your desktop to do this for you.

4. Don't look back until the auction is over. If you consistently loose, you may want to check around to see how realistic your maximum price is. Otherwise, know that there are always people that are willing to over pay - let them be.

The key is not to reveal your bid until the last minute, and not to get emotionally caught up in the heat of competition. Don't be afraid to walk away or loose the auction - ebay is so huge that another item will come around. I waited a year for the phototherm processor to show up, and then suddenly 3 showed up in the last 2 months. Also patiently waited a year for my Bronica SQ-I AE Prism, and then no less than 4 showed up in the last few months.

Basic large format setups on eBay are so cheap nowadays that made me wonder if we have really reached the end of the road with film with the enthusiasm in the outing tomorrow, well, maybe not yet

I would love to see the brochure sometime! I got mine with the Caltar 135mm, and then I picked up a fujinon 210mm, and recently a Caltar 90mm, which is enroute from the US.

What kind of problem you could possibly have with older kids? Don't they just start dissociating from you when they reach teenagehood, and then they only exist in the photos on the wall, though you vaguely feel that they might still be living with you but you just can't to find them in the house?

But I think they will be doing exactly the same: why doesn't dad get interested in this psptendo360, instead of lugging around all that metal that should have been in the recycling plant, or stop fiddling with all that smelly vinegar-soiled-socks smelling chemicals ...

oh haha, thanks sweat100. I should really get a recessed lens board for the 75mm but seeing how low chances of me shooting & developing is can't bring myself to spend that money. I think that outing was only last year, but does seem longer than that.

Waited 2 years for my EF 80-200 F2.8L to drop price in EvilBay until suddenly someone in CS selling it for 800+SGD.

Waited 1.5 years for a Asahi ghostless filter to appear in EvilBay only to get outbid by bots, but lucky buyer never pay up and item re listed which I win through a online snip program after asking for advice on CS.

Once a week photowalk still not so pain ba. When I go shoot alone, sometime I don't even press the shutter after setting up and waiting for wind to stop. Sometime even after 4 hrs of camping at the site from early morning, the wind is still strong...

Budget and camera type? There are much more 4*5 camera floating around in Largeformatphotography.info forum. The problem for you is that if you register now, it takes a month before they allow you to access their B&S. If I see one that fits your description, I can help you be middleman for the price of a dinner.
