Good pix! Thanks for sharing. As well as for the tips.

other than a gallery thread, i guess some had pm me regarding the trip. dun think it is very OT as long as it is some very basic information and quick notes for those interested.

somehow your shots give me a very intimate feel.

Like all your closeups portraits.... you really have a eye for what to shoot.

clear means the filter is clear on the lower half, with minimal alteration of light intensity if it is clean.

Sunset on a dusty road off the Hmong village, Ban Na Oune.

I was advised by my friends to skip shooting on a vehicle. it is true that the circumstances is poor to shoot comfortably - shaky and bumpy on the vehicle, dusty and dangerous to the equipments, lack of time to compose and frame, shooting many pictures and having to delete most of them. to some, snapping excessively seem to reflect of a poor photographer who took advantage of digital processes to overcome the critical thinking processes of a traditional film user or ex-user, and having to review and delete later is a chore and the price of not paying more attention to avoid shooting in a low yield situation.

but the light is too beautiful to miss. it is pushed on VR and an ISO of 1600 to achieve a high speed of 1/2500secs on a 6MP picture. i'm happy to have a few fairly decent takes of the light and the dust the road has given at that time, as a record of our travel.
