Just went to Miao Laan at Bt Batok to print one S8R. As there isn't much people there the guy print it on the spot for me, he even bring me to his computer to see how much to adjust.

Has ask him how much they charge for clubsnap members. His reply was, $0.30 for 4R, $3 for S8R. They are also having a promotion right now. For every 50 pcs of 4R printed, you are given a free S8R or 8R, I can't remember which one is it.

don't forget this thread is by KT.. OT? ;)

Personally, KT is nearer home and office for me. And more central. So its KT for me most of the time. Especially for large volumes of prints, they are faster and more responsive to my needs.

For info - Miao Lann Color is run by the brother of KT's boss. And the machine they use is a Frontier 350, same as KT's and supposedly one of the faster FDI units around. One of those printed 100+ S8Rs within an hour for me.

I cannot find KT Digital Imaging. I found a photo/printing shop called Kinsley at the same address?
But when I asked the old lady at the shop what paper they use for digital printing, she said it's Kodak paper.

Has KT moved ?

That's the one #01-06, but the shop name is now Kinsley. It's a small shop.
Is it the one?

Alight at Outram or Chinatown station(nearer), then walk towards Hong Lim Complex. If you alight at Outram, you've got to walk quite a bit.

went to kt for the second time todae....impressed with the quality and price of the scans....but 1 pro...when editing the photos from their cd....my photoshop always hang.....saying tt the file format is read only whe i have already saved it to my comp...

wierd....

anyway...solved the prob...save and copy save again using another programme....the one tt came wif my digicam....then edit no prob liao...

Actually when you copied it from the CD to your hard drive, The file is still locked in read-only mode. You'll need to go to the file properties and uncheck read-only. This should solve your problem.

See ya at KT again soon. :)

Hi,

Since you're living in Bedok too, you can take MRT down to Outram Park, transit to the NEL and take the train headed towards Punggol.

Chinatown is just one station away from Outram Park. Exit via Exit E and you should see Chinatown Point above ground.

Walk straight down from the aisle of Coffee Bean and Edo Sushi bar and you'll reach the building next to Chinatown Point, Hong Lim Complex.

Go further down the same stretch of shophouses, pass Fee Fee House of Photographics. Once you see Dragon Door Medical Hall, KT is just to the right of it. (Can't miss it, there is a FDI lab sign just outside)

Hope this helps. ;)

I would like to give KT a try.

downloaded the fuji frontier profile from http://www.popphoto.com/article.asp?section_id=2&article_id=480&page_number=1
read http://drycreekphoto.com/Frontier/using_printer_profiles.htm

D70 (SRGB III) -> editting in Nikon capture (SRGB III) and converting from raw to .jpg -> proof-setup in adobe using the profile -> re-adjusted curves and levels -> assign fuji icc profile to photo.

after proof-setup with the "paper white" box ticked, photos are a bit dull-looking. re-adjusted curves and levels.

1) Is there anything wrong with the workflow?
2) Does the downloaded profile closely matches the profile at KT?

KT is a bit far from my place, will be busy this few weeks.. i would like to get things right on my side so that there'll be less headaches and trouble :)
