[Jerrick] Occasional Long Exposure Shots

In a turn of events, the haze disappeared once I reached Marina Bay area and I managed to capture this beautiful sunset.

#36 is beautiful but you could patch those 4 spots. :D

praktisch - you are sharp. I am usually amazed at how people are able to spot dust spots..

Thanks for visiting! But OMG where's the dust spots?

there are 3 of them here:
1. above DBS building
2. above OUE building
3. above StanChart building

dunno how to describe the point of the last one... :)
Cheers!

Oh ya :( looks so obvious now after I spotted them

Found this from my archive. Reminds me of the rainy season now.

This is one of the first few newbie shots I took back then when I only had a decent camera and tripod. Have really learnt a lot since those days.

Going Home

It's been one week of school holidays for me but ironically I'm busier than usual. The holidays are coming to an end soon and seeing that I have some spare time today (+ there's no rain!!), I decided to leave home early to capture the sunset at Bay East Gardens. Walked approximately 20+ minutes from Bayfront to the other side and the sunset was actually gorgeous. Unfortunately, I kept dilly-dallying as to whether I should walk into the tall grass to take the shot or stay at the pavement with grass in the foreground. In the end, I decided to endure a bit and trudge through the grass to take the pic as I didn't want to sacrifice the opportunity. At the end of the shoot my legs were super itchy and dirty but it's a good experience for me. The pic could have been better though hadn't I hurry up a bit.

Wow didn't expect the sunset to be so beautifully golden today #41  Wanted to head down there today but thought it was too cloudy from where I was.. So didn't go in the end. What a waste ;p By the way, there are quite a few dust spots you may want to patch up.. Can spot at least 10:bsmilie: And I'm not much in a position to critique, but composition seems a bit off balance.. Could have shifted the frame more towards the right imo..

Thanks!! Yup it was really a nice sunset. Sighs really need to clean my lens. Can't spot them on my computer as it's very dusty too haha. Thanks for the highlights! Hmm as for composition wise, you're probably right :) shall trying cropping to view at different angles next time!

I think it's the sensor rather than the lens though.. Usually dust on the lens wouldn't look like that :)

Wanted to try a new composition. Not sure how it works out. Any C&Cs much appreciated! Harsh also nevermind!

Not sure if it is distinct enough but the circle on the left is Singapore Flyer and the green trees at left are the domes from GBTB!

Went here yesterday night to shoot with friends but unfortunately it rained and blue hour was not that nice. Decided to come back this morning to catch sunrise but it rained again, wasting 2 hours of my time spent waiting at Vivo for the rain to stop, after which I left for a school event.

Not the best sunset today. Brought my tripod there but realised that it's too short when I started setting up. Ended up having to use a few objects to tilt my camera. Wished I could have tilted lower a bit but was afraid the camera would drop. Maybe should consider getting a clamp/mini tripod :)
