Thanks for the good advice. I have been reading up, and I did join one macro outing ... came home with my back aching from all the bending down and moving forward and backward
I had many soft and blurred photos to show for my effort. Analyzed it down to poor focusing from my handheld position. So, I'm asking if anyone used a tripod. I'm looking at a focusing rail and see if it helps improve my focusing.
As I said, the photos posted here are awesome! I'm asking if you used off-camera flash or just the pop-up flash. I was using the pop-up with a borrowed diffuser. I've since made one of my own but would also like to see if off-camera flash is better.
