Nice pictures SHLEW but i find ur framing is too tight in most ur pictures....

Hi Elite 77,
Thanks for your compliment. I'm a newbie in Macro. In fact, this is my third outing. I do not know how much to crop, so probably I have cropped too much. Thanks for your pointer. I will study more of other sifus works and learn some more.
Cheers.

Hi everyone,
Thanks to Jacob for organizing the macro outing at Hort Park. Although it rained a bit, we were able to get some shots and I believe those who came had enjoyed the fun.
Here are a few of my more presentable shots. C & C welcomed.
Thanks & Cheers.

Hi Elite bro, thanks for your informative comment.

I also reliase my today shot have a bit oversaturated in colors.. But I had check my setting compare with previous shot are almost similar.

Don't know whether it's cause by the fill-flash? :dunno:

Nice series Jacobs..

I simply love all your macro shots. Nature habitat is simply so healthy to the eyes.. ^^

Maybe if one of these days, I have interest in Macro will join your group to learn more.

nice pictures guys.

can someone share what aperture settings were you using to get so much depth of field?

was the pictures cropped? i see the housefly pic so close up, is it cropped a lot?

thanks

Almost 30% of my shot was cropped from original size.
As for F-stop, normally I'll set between F11 - F16.
Mostly I shot by handheld, so the shutter speed will set between 1/160 - 1/200.

jacobs, simply love your pic 1 water droplet pic

shlew , your pic 2 is nice ! :D

kenmaster , your pic 1 is sharp and nice ! as for the water droplet pic i juz forcus my lens till i can see the reflection clearly in my viewfinder b4 taking the shot ;p

These photos are awesome! May I ask if you were using the pop-up flash, or off-camera flash with diffuser? Anyone using tripod?

Thanks

Jesmen,
I am glad you like flowers. Me too. They are very colourful. I have just started collecting flowers around my neighbourhood. We can share our take. Below are just some that I have put up recently:
