Hehe... what's also very good for macro - with the HDMI output of the D3/D300, use it to drive a 5" LCD in live view at hi-res

D3 is super.

D300 is surprisingly good for a 1.5X. maybe becos it is a CMOS.

I think Nikon finally get its image processing department right. Otherwise, CCD would still do better than CMOS. Just compare D2X and D200.

:think: i'm not too worried abt cmos or CCD or LBCast sensors. i only care abt the quality of the pixels.

Would there be a need? I'm foreseeing a D3X soon which will have near 12MP for the DX crop. ;p But there might be a FX version of the D300... Are you coming D300X? ;p

Hmmmmm.. I think they would do better in one of the rooms as a hide, else they may be in deep **** if they were spotted on the roads aiming the cams at some of the not so friendly ppl there...

His long lenses are too fast lah... Slap a few 2x teleconverter on one of those Sigma 18-200/3.5-6.3.

an FX version of the D300
and a DX version of the D3

D3 DX would be great for telephoto shots
D300 FX would be great for WA shots (and those who are on a budget)

I'm not sure if the high ISO degrades the IQ till the whole image is fuzzy... But the D3 is a huge step for nikon
