yup.

Now can get 14-24 + 18-200 and you are covered.

Actually, isnt it better to get a FF lens instead of DX. Simply switched to DX for longer reach. But again, why dont we just crop it and getting equivalent effective mega pixel.

Nice innovative FX feature :) Allows current DSLR users to use DX lenses for smaller prints and also encourage them to buy the "normal" lenses to take full advantage of the bigger sensor ;p

Best about Nikon, after all this years you still can use the old MF on the latest body. Now even if you still own DX lens, you will still be able to shoot with them on a FF body.

Maybe that's why their R&D always took so long.:bsmilie:

FULL FRAME DUDE!!!! ITS FULL FRAME!!! Thats the long awaiting different!!! OMG i'm in Joy!!! Finally can see the power of 70-200 VR, 17-35, 80-200!!!
But i heard Canon will launch a 20+mp one very soon

But 1 thing quite disappointed. Doesn't comes with ISO 50 & 100

D3 brochure said:
Sensitivity ISO 200 to 6,400 in steps of 1/3, 1/2, or 1 EV; sensitivity decreases approx. 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, or
1 (ISO 100 equivalent) EV below ISO 200
, and increases approx. 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1 (ISO 12,800
equivalent), or 2 (ISO 25,600 equivalent) EV over ISO 6,400

dunnoe wat this mean.

D200 is using CAM1000 which is a old tech from F100.

no, the F100 uses CAM1300 which has 3 cross sensors.

the CAM1000 is still inferior to it with only 1 cross sensor.

other bodies that use the CAM1300 includes the F5, D1H, D1X

I think all the 51AF point are simply overkill... they probably just cover up all your viewfinder view...

I wonder why Nikon named the battery pack for MB-D10 instead of MB-D300.

D3/D300 Slides from Nikon Press Conference

Some very interesting information here, particularly on the D3 ISO 6400 slide (15) showing sample images and where Nikon states:
"Noise in shaded portions is effectively eliminated"

Early this year, I got D40 rather than D80 or D200 thinking to get the successor of D300 as another body in time to come. the time is coming soon.

For me, the most attractive hardware feature on the D300 set up is the little joystick control on the MB-D10...If it is what I think it is, actual 1-hand operation while holding the camera in vertical orientationis now possible!

Even more user-friendly than the D3 which does not have the same feature?

Be prepared that the battery is different (EN-EL4a?) and it may be the same grip to be used in future 3-digit models.

juicy stuff from Nikon.
Now the competition between the 2 main camps has become more balanced
