I'm not sure if an EVF attachment would work on the EP-1. It would depend if the flash contacts allow for the info to be channeled, like how Ricoh does for the GX100.

I'm personally not a fan of EVFs, the technology is very much improved now (e.g. G1 over older Sonys) but the colors just don't look right. My only concern for an EVF would be if the LCD on the EP-1 makes it too hard to MF in low light. But I guess that would be a problem with an EVF as well since its also essentially a mini lcd?

Actually,Richo doesnt take the info from hotshoe as far as i know,cause my aunt has one,can't rmemeber the mode,there is something like a usb plug around that sides that channels the info and power into the EVF

erm.. sounds interesting.. but i doubt it's as small or smaller than the current ep1... don't think i can live with anything larger than the ep1..

well it will definately be cool if they can make use of the hot shoe contacts to transmit to a EVF... after all it's electronic signals.
think i read some interview, they said they are working on EVFs but still just not up to standard yet...

Also on some site, they are reporting that there's live view of the cam when connected to a tele, just that the guy didn't remember if it was able to shoot or not. If able to, 3rd parties can possibly make a EVF with a little cable to plug in into the side, though a bit messy, but better than nothing...

what ever the case is, i'm happy with the current ep1 specs n form factor. so anything else is a bonus.

i found that it feels weird for me not have a viewfinder,so most probably will wait for it,while i try to shoot with a old compact see if i can get rid of the weird feeling or not

i hope they make a pro spec m4/3 slightly larger than the e-p1. With weathersealing, evf, 1/250 flash sync would be a superb draw for me. Oly and panasonic still stuck at 1/160 x-sync while c/n/s has 1/200 and 1/250.

That is for the current m43 cameras... (G1 & E-P1)

The E-30 and E-3 has 1/250.

The E-620, E-520, E-450, (E-P1) has 1/180.

Lower-spec models are usually below pro-spec models...
