Tee, your pix is a little too dark.could it be due to the cloudy day :dunno:

Dunno leh! All my pix look funny today. Could be my monitor, I don't think reformatting h/d should affect my display. :dunno:

May have to do some calibration.

Hi Teerex, your image looks fine on my screen, but very contrasty, nice. Not dark.

Thanks for your feedback Max, I'll still check. Yes those 2 pix are a bit more contrasty.

Have to re-connect my CRT to the computer and compare side by side with the present LCD. I really see until I "pa jiao" already.

How is this one from one of my previous post?

Ark, is that the same "action" u sent to me before??
Hi Hosea, I think its the same ;)

Max, no prob, no big secret but if can improve must share hor :)

Teerex, the photos looks very "contrasty". Think its due to the weather....

Received the Edmund's longpass filter.
It is lighter than R72 and looking thru the R72 viewfinder, can see thru.
But can't really test it today due to the weather.
Hopefully the optical shop can finish grinding it to size to fit the 67mm ring by today....

Will post results when weather improves :)

You gotta check if your digital cam can handle IR. A simple (but not extensive) test would be to take pictures of your remote control when it's pointed at your camera (of course must press the buttons lah). ;)

You should see light emitted from the remote control. If so, there is a possiblity that your camera can take IR pics.

Before you buy, maybe join one of the IR outings and try with someone's IR filter. Confirm can take, then buy buy buy! :bsmilie:

Welcome :cheergal: welcome :cheergal: to the IR group. Come join us in our next IR shoot.

Like Adiemus said, try the test (not 100%) but just a test. And if you do not have a IR filter, don't buy yet. Come to our outing and try the different filters that we have.

Can get the Hoya R72 whicj most of us are using.

Nice gallery Dennis.

Can you recognise who the 2 ghosts are?

It's Max and his friend ;)

Dennis, I like the bridge photo, but seems like the right side is not in focus?

Finally got the Edmunds filter fitted... Did ur 3" one fit into 77mm filter ring?

Really hope tomorrow has bright sunlight to test out

here's my take using Ark19's method.....

i think it could be because of my filter or CWB giving me the different colors :dunno:

this scene is originally very dark already.

Hi Vortex,
the lone tree looks good
Can adjust the Yellow lightness more?
Also, seems like light is leaking or lens flare?
Was it taken close to noon? If so, light might be leaking directly above...

Thanks. my 3" one does not fit after removing the clips. It is about 1mm bigger so I fitted it onto the front where the filter thread is and it is a perfect fit. I managed to put some glue on it and voila it is a 77mm IR. No chance to try it yet. Will be getting my IR light today or tomorow once I find time for it.

BTW the filter seems different from the Hoya R72, when I hold it up against some FL lights at home the R72 shows red but the Edmunds ones show green ??.
