Of the 2 cameras, only the D70 can stop the wind from blowing. The 20D on the other hand can stop a girl from moving... but only if she likes you. ;)

  :sweatsm:

For Teerex and Dennis (D70 users) they are able to shoot handheld....a rather fast exposure (1/15 - 1/30??)

For Irman (Sony DSC-828) Best!! Shoot Handheld and is not 'Blinded'

PandaOng (20D) no tripod = no picture.

Btw guys, I have try to shoot with Auto setting (Black Picture). then went back to PS (Auto Level). Guess what?? Result Negative. Still OrR OrR.
Can you confirm the result Max?

Ya, all my shots were handheld. Tripod too heavy to carry around, brought monopod along but too lazy to extend the legs. So only choice use my built in bi-pod. Shots average between 1/15 to 1/30, full open at F/3.3.

Hey Panda - want to show one of your OrR OrR pics.

Pablo - D70 has a special feature. Half press shutter release not only focus, but also sends out a ultrasonic wave to stop wind from blowing :bsmilie:

Yep! Confirmed. Orh, Orh Pix. No need to show lah, can self create in fotoshop. :bsmilie:

PandaOng: wahh...u bad man...tekan your gf like that. hehee

anyways nice pics.....quite film vibe with the grain!!

anyways just to let u guys know....i will be joining the D70 gang after this weekend.
the 8400 will have to go :(

and im sure Ark19 will be joining our IR group soon!

Hi guys, would like to propose the next shootout location, the only place in Singapore where time stood still....Changi Village....then the Broadwalk. Alot of trees and vegetation.

How? Anyone? ;)

Does anybody know if there are any locations with x'mas trees (or looks like them)? Would look nice ;)

anyone know if CP sells them or not...?

hosea: i like the first pic more...maybe if u can put the glare from the 2nd pic over would be lagi better?
well, i would do it that way, if i knew how

Hosea : I like the 2nd pic better. Good use of flare.
Penda : Your pic nice did you add in extra grain during PP ?.
I pity your GF leh, must stay still for so long :nono:
Vortex Ark19 : Welcome to the D70 club, 67mm IR is about $80+.
I am itching to get the 77mm ones or a gelatin to cut to size to fit
my FE, can't sleep without ultra wide !!!!!

Next meeting where where ??. Changi village is OK also have the other tree to shoot !.

Mmmm I will try to see if I can increase the D70 ultrasonic wind stopping feature otherwise it is going back to Nikon for repair !!!!!. :bsmilie:

Looks like oil spots but can't be removed... will call and ask if can change :(
The filter.. think he said $70 plus? Will check and confirm. Wah... last time my 52mm R72 cost only $25 plus from FotoGuide...

Hosea: I prefer the first pic :)
Dennis: Thanks :) I'm a newbie to DSLR.... Lots to learn...

You mean the R72 67mm is only $70 ?.
It seems like the price for R72 is exponential after a certain size.
BTW I also new to DSLR leh, lets share OK. :)

Okay Guys....Seems like now I am a Devil huh.... heehee.

Hosea - First Picture's composition is nice  like the way the branches is forming up the pix , But feel that it is underexpose.

2nd Pix Dun work for me.

89B cokin filter not available at bhphotovideo.com, adorama.com lists it at US$49.95 ,http://www.hiltonphoto.co.uk lists at 21.99BP , any other suggestions? I'm sure cathay price will be higher than this because for P series adapter etc they are also more marked up than bhphotovideo

Err... let me confirm first... I'm very bad with numbers....
Always buy thing forget price one... :P

We'll learn together, that's what I like abt clubsnap :)

HI loup,

I got the same results when I searched online too. I'm fine with the price but the shipping costs are scary! And I need it before 4th December which means shipping is out of the question. Air freight is scaringly expensive!

I'm quite stuck now, I might have to go for the 67mm filter one in the end. So sad, cannot use on my wide lens. Arg. $240 for a 77mm!! Madness.

With the 1.5-1.6x multiplication factor of DSLRs, a 67mm filter would probably work on a 77mm lens without vignetting. Just get a adapter ring or combination of rings to fit the 67mm filter to a 77mm lens.

I am using a 58mm R72 on a 72mm EF 28-135 IS and did not encounter any vignetting problem so far.
