They are just snapshots... not beauty shots as I only want to test the flash on the E-P2. I suspected that the flash would perform better on the E-P2 and it was indeed so. I got a special price for the flash anyway.it would seem that Olympus really did, good job,now if they would just release a firmware for E-P1 (if it can be solved by firmware),nice pics of your cat,the first one looks friendly but the second doesn't,I don't know if I should be afraid or not
Where did you get it from?Do you happen to have a broucher that says so?I don't have anything on a promo price for the flash with E-P2
just got my EP-2 2 hours ago... dun have promo for FL-14 flash.. tot its at $100
There should be. Cathay Photo was trying so hard for me to buy the FL14 flash at $99, but I really didn't need it. Maybe ask MS Color why Cathay has the promo and they don't (if you really want the flash).
However, MS Color is $40 cheaper for the E-P2 kit than Cathay.
.
The $99 flash promo is by Olympus to celebrate their 90th Anniversary. Valid for the month of December for purchases of E-P2. MS Colour should honour it even if they don't have stock on hand. They can always order it from Olympus Singapore and let you collect it later. If your relationship with your dealer is good, you can get it for even less than that. I did.I got the e-quote from the boss of amk main branch.. i tested the staff there to see i had a discount, they quoted me 1599 l0ls.. anywayFL-14 is out of stock at MS color, and i tink they dun have the $99 promo.. if not i bought alr
Also got to play with the latest digital camera on the block... the Ricoh GXR. The 920,000-dot 3" High Defination LCD screen is really impressive. The only lens currently available is the 50mm f/2.5 macro that comes with a APS-C CMOS sensor. 50mm is actually the equivalent focal length for a 35mm format camera which means that the actual focal length of the lens is 33mm. I would think that taking a close-up portrait with this lens would produce more perspective distortion with an actual 50mm lens.
I felt that the AF speed is not very fast... about the same as the E-P1/E-P2. Although it is a macro lens, you must press a 'Macro' button just like with a PNS camera to shoot in macro.
Did you not read my post on page 4?Hi,
For the folks who have purchased the E-P2 and the FL-14 flash, can I ask if the FL-14 flash still over-expose the shot?
The FL-14 and the E-P1 has a problem of over-exposure that I have to dial down the flash exposure, hope they have fixed this with the E-P2.
Thanks in advance!
