As of this moment, nearly all of the 19 posts quicksilver posted was to slam me. What an honor. Just one thing that puzzles me. I wonder who is the spinless weasel behind quicksilver, who has to register a seperate nick, just to be my troll. Having a personal troll is nice, but having a spinless one is not as nice.

I am interested to hear what you find of dislike about the Pinky shoots.

This is an honest question, nothing else.

Personally I thought it was a great idea, something that broke away from the norm, something inventive.

Amongst the photo's taken I saw some very good camera work, some quite creative photo's.

I know that it is, "to each his own" and you may simply not like the subject.

For me, I am not a fan of dogs. I do own a cat so I do have a liking for some animals, but photo's of dogs I would rather be without.

Is your dislike of the pinky series of photo's in the same vein of what I mentioned above? or is there another reason?

You're holding nothing but grudges (eyes can see) by going to every one of my comment to quote me and ask me to show you what I can do.

Even if I did, you won't bother as it's not your real motive. You won't go far this way.

Ah yes.. freedom to speak. I need to note more carefully who can accept criticisms and who cannot. And who can see what is beyond them, than to challenge others to show pictures to prove their point.

Do not want to add fuel to fire, but just to add an innocous comment that I find the Fountains of Trevi difficult to shoot because of the tourist crowds and also because of the proximity to the nearby shops/cafes - lotsa of distraction. So Deadpoet's pretty lucky in getting an uncluttered background.

Yea. Seriously, Fountain de Trevi is indeed a tourists' destination, and masses congregate there - Tourists, locals, and even gypsies! That place is infested with gypsies, and as their label has suggested, they will carry out a pickpocket session without sweating a bead of perspiration when you're busy with other stuffs, like photo-snapping. Hence, it is honestly not easy to capture a good shot there.

When I was there last year, I couldn't even take a decent picture! Once I stop at a spot to snap a photo, people would push and even step on my shoes till I moved to let them cross.

Though I agree that this thread should actually be under 'Candid', I still have to agree that the beauty of the fountain, especially King Neptune, has been captured.

commented that a song is not good? Are you a chart #1 singer?
commented that some dish is not good? Are you a good chef?
commented on a soccer player being lousy? Are you good soccer player?
commented on how bad a university/polytechnic lecturer is? Are you a good lecturer somewhere?
commented that the bus service in singapore sucks? Do you own any bus services?

If you comment on a bad photograph, do you need to be a good photographer?

If you post a photo up, if anyone sees it, they are a consumer of your image. They can whatever they want even if they're not a photographer.

i can't believe it took 3 pages before someone finally got it.

deadpoet's sharing shots more for the novelty of meeting the model halfway across the world than looking for critiques/looking to impress.

he put them in the portraits and poses forum because it's more likely that the photographers in this forum will recognize the model and be able to grasp the magnitude of coincidence.

and you guys should be grateful to have someone to give critiques instead of ask the standard "great shot, what's your equipment?"

unless, of course, you post pics up on CS to receive ego boosts/compliments instead of critiques that help you to improve, but that's another topic.
