Met up with a few of my friends for dinner yesterday to celebrate one of their birthdays.

I made cupcakes for him.. cupcakes topped with royal icing and mini-m&ms..

they look so colourful and cheery.. i felt happy just looking at them

I saw these bread cups in Donna Hay's kids edition magazine and had to have a go at it!

They look so cute and cheery. I changed the filling to egg mayo though, topped with mixed dried herbs to give it an extra oomph!

My hubby and I tried our hand in baking oreo cheesecake on Sunday.

We combined parts of cheesecake recipes from Donna Hay, Nigella, etc. for our cake and amazingly, our creatively 'rojak' cake turned out really good!

after tasting my sister's-in-law banana muffins, my hubby and i just had to have a go at it.

ours turrned out great too.. full-flavoured!

Wow nice .. I like the bright exposure u used to bring out the food and it give me the feeling of looking at the menu of a restaurant. I would say it is a professional done then a newbie shot. =D

I'm still learning! It's tough and I struggle all the time to get a nice shot!
Thankfully there are a lot of great foodblogs online to learn from. And also learning from the comments from this thread.

Baked chocolate chip cookies yesterday.. Copied the idea of wrapping baking paper and tying a string round them from a foodblog.

they look ready to be given away... little bites of chocolatey goodness!

Potato chips are one of my guilty pleasures.. Found the healthier way to snack - homemade oven-baked potato chips!

I'm feeling very flattered by your comments!
I think only 50% of what I cook and baken turn out successful, so it's rather challenging but a fun sort of challenge.. Somewhat similar to photography! Got to keep on learning...

Bake Chocolate Meringue Cupcakes for a friend whom I haven't met for quite some time.

They tasted great cos they had a flakey top and gooey chocolate centre... but.. they are seriously not transportable..

Bacon & cheese muffins. Suddenly struck me to bake something savoury...

They were slightly overbaked as I left them in the oven 5 minutes too long! But the centre of the muffin was still soft

Today, I turned 30. It has been an interesting year, and I have many things to be thankful for.

I whipped up a mini-marshmellow party with dark chocolate and chopped pistachios.. Life is meant to be a celebration, isn't it?
