Hi bonrya,

Thanks for your message!
I wish my food is worth buying too! Then I can open a shop! haha.. but sadly they have not reached that standard yet ;)

My yummy birthday cake baked by the husband :)

This photo was taken right after it was frosted. Check out the gleaming chocolate!!

I didn't manage to take a decent picture of it after the frosting set as we got home rather late after our dinner. :(

I baked apple pies today as a tribute to Steve Jobs.

I'm not related to him, I don't know him personally.. but he has impacted my life with his words.

Follow your heart, stay hungry, stay foolish.

I've written a simple tribute to him too. Drop by my blog at www.erinnish.com

Hi iarshad,

I photograph using natural daylight. I place a diffuser between the window and table/food to diffuse the light. Diffusing the light helps to lighten the shadows and reduce extreme highlights/blow outs.

hi,

I just wonder if u use marco lens for the food shot ?
Care to share what lens ?

Hi Ahtim,

You are right. I use a Tamron 90mm macro lens for most of the shots. Still dreaming to get the canon 100L macro one day :)

Classic Brownies! We saw this in Donna Hay's latest 10th Anniversary magazine, and we couldn't give it a miss!

Like your style of shooting. I think some of your photos good enough for magazine or cookbook print. Keep cooking and shooting..! :)

Cheers,
Erin
