thanks pinholecam, i was there from 4am to about 6.30am. this was taken at around 4.45am inside the temple.

hi jk, saw your pictures and i guess that the atmosphere was slightly different at different times. I was told that the preparation starts as early as midnight. it was a weekday so i guess there were lesser photographers during the wee hours of the night.

i saw quite a few photogs as well but we were definitely the minority as compared to all the devotees.

This is my first time shooting film ... ever ... of course need to exclude my childhood time when I used PnS film camera with no interest in photography at all :-)
Shot using MZ-30, Pentax-F 28 f2.8, and AGFA Precisa CT 100 slide.
Got it developed and scanned in Fotohub.

I really love the result. Too bad that the colors on the scanned result is not as good as looking directly at the processed roll.
The colour and vibrancy on the roll is even better :-)

Just finished my first 2 rolls of film

did a rough DSLR scan, hand hold with laptop screen backlighting,

edit in photoshop
1. invert
2. level adjustment for max info
3. color balance (tune all to red, tune all to opposite side of blue, tweak either to megeta or green)
4. brightness and (constrast, increase brightness and a bit of contrast)

kodak iso 400, pentax 5n (auto AF) and Phenix DC828 (full manual)

Pentax P50 SMC-A 50 2 Kodak 200

Photos taken with my very first serious camera. Was using a golden half previously. Found it at the thieves market and it was love at first sight. :D
