Nice mother child moment.. I think you should tighter crop this, post-process and keep for memories.

I am seeing a lot of very nice photos coming from the EP1. Especially the cold storage series.

Oh no! Gotto to stop using the E-P1 for the time being.
Need to go back to my Canon for some nostalgia shots....

my first try on E-P1.
this pic taken by using art filter - grainy film

note: no PP, just adding in caption and resizing. :)

With it's organic architecture, Ion Orchard is just begging to be shot with a fisheye lens. Too bad I don't have an Olympus one.

Problem? Is there a problem wid my questions?

And yes, not sure if u know, but the 4/3 system is a full frame system. There is no sensor crop.

For ur 40 person wedding shot at 2.8, where everyone was sharp, were they all in the same row?

I am glad tat u are happy with ur system and doing well with it.

Are you shure about this

You might want to let Olympus know about it.

Their sticker on the 70-300mm lens says, " 40-600mm equivalent"

Officially it is to help people not familiar with the system and thinking in 135 format understand the focal length of the lens that they are buying. Oly5050 is correct. Four Thirds, 135, 120 645, 120 66, 120 67, etc are all formats. So for their respective format standards, there aren't sub frames for Four Thirds, except for micro Four Thirds which is a new standard that uses the same Four Third sensor on a smaller mount and changing from 9pin to 11pin for communications.

I stand corrected Sir !

Apologies to Oly5050

4/3rds is "full frame" to itself

Many that hear the words "Full Frame" assume reference to 35m

Olympus themselves state a 2x crop factor.

Cheers

My small contribution. This image was shot heldhand. Whew!

Another freaky flare from the Lumix 7-14mm:

Can't stand the speed of the camera clearing its buffer. So bought the Sandisk Extremely III at 3 times the price of the Kingston Class 6.

After a full blast, the Sandisk Extreme III took the cam about 20s to clear its buffer while the Kingston Class 6 took about 10s more....

The Sandisk is not as fast as I'm expecting it to be....

Wow, I didn't know the price difference was that much. I am using the Transcend version and I thought it was quite close in terms of performance... looks like the new Class 10s which should be hitting our shores might be worth checking out. But now I am a little skeptical.
