hi weekh

i noticed that your pics are generally darker and more saturated... even compared to some of the other samples here. did you dial down exposure or does the art filter do that for you. if you did what settings did you change? I don't have a Pen - but thinking of getting one :)

Looks like the E-P1 is one hell of a camera if you stick a good lens on it. The sensor at low ISO is very impressive. The amount of details it captures is like no Oly before it. (You'll have to turn off the crazy noise filter though.) Perhaps we are having a preview of the E3 successor.

Lens is a Nikkor 105 LTM. Bought it as a collectible and it's never been used until today. Mounted via Chiif's Voigtlander M to M43 adapter.

90% of the images u see are straight out from the camera.

I choose to use live-view for precise manual focusing on the 5D2 over the conventional viewfinder.

I would very much like to use some good, tiny rangefinder lens on the E-P1. Use it like the way I do on the 5D2 with all the manual focus lenses.

However, the LCD and user interface on the E-P1 just cannot make it. So bad that I don't even bother to use it at all.

I know what you mean. Trying to focus is quite a drag on the non articulating screen. Stop down metering adds another step to the finger yoga. If only the LCD is better and I can focus without going into the zoom. Fortunately, shooting macro is not much different from using another body like the E3.

This is ridiculously sharp!!

After waiting for some time and almost buying the camera, I think I will wait a little while longer to see if Panasonic releases the rumoured 20/1.7 lens and their m4/3s body to compete with the EP-1.

Weekh, do you think you can effectively MF with adapted lenses on the EP-1? Always notice that you like to try different manual lenses on your Canon gear so would value yoru opinion.

Good to have choices though currently the output color of the EP-1 is really really tempting, very different from my Nikon system in a nice way.

I doubt I can do it as effectively as what I can do with the Canon.

These images can be taken with a simple 3MP digicam.
We are gearheads. Don't join us!
Stay away from these threads. Just go out and shoot.

Bro! I love your answer

And your images from P1  I am a gearhead just like you guys and will be buying E-P1 in the next few days

Thanks you so much for sharing this amazing shots...

After looking at the pictures & current review, really feel like sell off my Nikon DSLR system & lenses (underutilised because of the size & weight) and just get E-P1 for the quality, HD Video & most important it is compact.....good for travelling. :)

That's exactly what i'm doing. =] awaiting my precious set from Harvey Norman!

Yes, this is indeed a good cam. But I'll wait for the next release with built in flash.

Are you shure about this

You might want to let Olympus know about it.

Their sticker on the 70-300mm lens says, " 40-600mm equivalent"

I think because CIPA requires every manufacturer to state the 135 format equivalent focal length now.. DUH..

I really like this one ...
