hmmm.. i checked out the compact models..prices i got quoted for FX-33 was $569 and FX-55 was $609.... FZ-18 seems to be a better choice for the price paid. Can sumone tell me what's the standard package includes? I havent try a prosumer cam so I dunno wat it actually comes along with other den battery and memory card :sweat:

Mmmm I saw the ads for the FZ-18 in the papers today. The 18x zoom with optical stabiliser is tempting... :D
 

I have went down to Cathay to try the FZ 18 during lunch. The price is about $680. i have a quite try,quite disappointed after having a high expectation from lots of good review.I am just a beginner , so my first try is just to use the 18x zoom to see how it focus at IA mode, to my surprise, the FZ 18 take at least 2 second to adjust the focus.

BTW, I only try out the zoom, don't know how to compare the rest so didn't try. So this is just my first impression.

I went down with the full intention to buy the camera, after the try,have decide to look at other brand before deciding
 

Anyone of you got this FZ-18, I just bought it 3days ago, still wondering how to use it in a pro way, any one wanna share :)
 

Waa im just another proud owner of a FZ18, My friend called me this moning say Mustafa selling it for $675 with 2GB card, len clening kit, mini triport, SD card reader n a Lumix pouch haha.........
 

All FZ owners, Hi, sounds exciting...how is the performance in a) low light b} high maximum zoom? In terms of i)focussing accuracy, ii)time taken to get focus iii) quality of picture? thanks.
 

From the stats, it looks like it has a veri long batt life..is it true? ANyone that using it now can comment...btw whats the batt model no.? Same type use in Fz7/8?

Any shops receommend get? Mustafa? Sim Lim? etc...Whats are the stuff included in it?
