Just joined the X club with my new XE2, previously from Sony camp.
What i can say is WOW. It really brings back the basics of photography in a modern gadgetry.
The high iso is almost unreal and could easily match FF up to 6400.
Kudos to Fujifilm for bringing back my enthusiasm of taking photos after slagging for a year from this hobby.
I guess my poisonous buying spree ia back to haunt me and my wife again. ;P
depends. if you stick to xmount lenses not much choice.
I agree but i just need a good camera and a good lens to produce a good photo.
Other camps has tons of lenses and accessories but if i were to choose, i rather have 1 good quality photo than thousands of average pictures.

Hey guys, im thinking of buying this camera tomorrow for my xmas present this year. is the 18-55 really that good? I'm a canon user and i'm so used to primes. can some kind brother pls tell me about the 18-55 lens and how good it is? if not i will purchase the 35mm for starters. I enjoy shooting a bit of street and some landscape. hope to hear from you in the next few hours. will be dropping by Funan later this evening.
Hihi if you are used to prime lens, it's good to stick with it. If you get the zoom, ultimately you will go back to prime again. No matter how prime iq win 18-55mm. If can, get a 23mm as well. For landscape you may want to wait for xf10-24mm which likely to be released in first quarter next year instead of getting the 14mm.

The 18-55 mm zoom lens is my most used lens for its versatility, light- weight, compactness & solid-built feel. The lens image stabiliser is a big help for holding steady shots at slow speed. The color and sharpness for a 4R print is excellent. One downside is when you shoot with inbuilt flash, the lens hood blocks some of the light. I had to retake the shot or crop the photo.
Things are looking interesting with the announced Samyang 10mm f/2.8 X Mount... Slightly above 1K SGD by the end of Jan 2014...

waiting for their tilt shift, since they said all samyang lenses will have x-mount in the future.
In the end, I bought a xe1 n 35mm lol. thanks for the heads up guys. i am a prime lens guy![]()
