Fujifilm X-E2

haaaa if not for the price.... really would have go for the Df..... well..... got to be happy with what we have till got $$$.... ;)

But an awesome ff cam

Just joined the X club with my new XE2, previously from Sony camp.

What i can say is WOW. It really brings back the basics of photography in a modern gadgetry.

The high iso is almost unreal and could easily match FF up to 6400.

Kudos to Fujifilm for bringing back my enthusiasm of taking photos after slagging for a year from this hobby.

They finally has made me realised that paying so much money on expensive gears is just for one purpose only, to be able to take good quality photos and not to be misled by other unnecessary features that doesnt help in producing better photos.

I guess my poisonous buying spree ia back to haunt me and my wife again. ;P

I agree but i just need a good camera and a good lens to produce a good photo.

Other camps has tons of lenses and accessories but if i were to choose, i rather have 1 good quality photo than thousands of average pictures.

Ya, most XF lens are superior in both physical and image quality. The price is just right too.
Fuji product releases slow and steady, just enough time to save up for them. Coming will be XF 10-24mm f4, XF 56mm f1.2 !
If you're free on 15 December do join us ya.

I'm a canon user and i'm so used to primes. can some kind brother pls tell me about the 18-55 lens and how good it is? if not i will purchase the 35mm for starters. I enjoy shooting a bit of street and some landscape. hope to hear from you in the next few hours. will be dropping by Funan later this evening.

Hihi if you are used to prime lens, it's good to stick with it. If you get the zoom, ultimately you will go back to prime again. No matter how prime iq win 18-55mm. If can, get a 23mm as well. For landscape you may want to wait for xf10-24mm which likely to be released in first quarter next year instead of getting the 14mm.

Hi subzero- id love to get the 35mm then. i hope they sell body alone and lens. any idea how much it will go at in funan?

The 18-55 mm zoom lens is my most used lens for its versatility, light- weight, compactness & solid-built feel. The lens image stabiliser is a big help for holding steady shots at slow speed. The color and sharpness for a 4R print is excellent. One downside is when you shoot with inbuilt flash, the lens hood blocks some of the light. I had to retake the shot or crop the photo.

Yes totally agreed. I am just blown away how good the 1855 was. Not only it has 1 stop advantage over most kit lens, its built like a tank.

Also, the focusing motor is silent, good if you take videos. The 23 and 35 primes are very creamy and sexy as well, except their focusing are a tad slower and noisier.

Imo, 35 is more worth it and more value for money as the 23 is twice the price.

Depending on what you shoot, but i find the 1855 and 35 will suffice for most users.

Agree with langlee and overture too for the flexibility, fast focusing and stability with OIS for 17-55mm. It's just like the canon or Nikon 24-70 equivalent for dslr if you use them before and have to agree that 35mm focusing is tad slower.

But as you mention you use prime lens mainly for your dslr, my guess would be the same if you get Fuji. Do consider getting both, maybe get18-55mm kitset should be cheaper than with 35mm kit set. Then go b&s to get the other one, try out and you may keep both or sell one of it away with little loss.

They do sell different lens combination, you may want to check Fuji Sg site for their Christmas promo. Do note that retail store will be cheaper than the listed price.

waiting for their tilt shift, since they said all samyang lenses will have x-mount in the future.

Never tried tilt shift before... watz so poisonous abt it bro? Keke

In the end, I bought a xe1 n 35mm lol. thanks for the heads up guys. i am a prime lens guy ;)

Congrats! It's a better choice (for the same amount of money) than buying an XE2 body alone w/o any lens ;)

Fujifilm XE2 W/ 18-55 kit lens nudged me to leave my Nikon days behind and join the Fuji Camp. Another user falling in... :)

I am thinking very hard of jumping ship to mirrorless camera, particularly looking at this Fuji X-E2. Main reason is to get rid of weight and to travel lighter...My fear is if I use the XE2 will I sacrifice the joy of shooting and using dslr style (I mean the user-experience of using dslr)? Is it a way far noticeable, annoying different if I suddenly use mirrorless? Hope some of you share your experience. Thanks!!
