lol... been to cathay a few times in the past. will surely check out other stores and see... thanks for the suggestion!

Just read the interview article of Fuji Manager from Fujirumor website, and I'm very much impressed by his words: "Fujfilm will continue to support and improve its cameras via firmware update: We want you to use our camera longer and longer in your life."

One of the reason i use canon in the past is they are quite good in firmware update... but now it seems like Fuji is even better as they give update to discontinued model as well.

Yes very impressed by them thats y i bought a bnib x100 then updated the fw. Shooting randomly 1st day today. From the cam lcd....wahhh color so nice. Just jpeg. Will try landscape soon. Cheers.

Do you shoot raw or JPEG only. I find that with ISO 6400, even with NR -2 the noise reduction is far too much, especially on human faces, where it looks all waxy and mushy ..

So I shoot now only up to ISO 3200 because I shoot only JPEG. Don't have so much time and energy to handle RAW.

Previously A77 user then went to Nex 5R for light and smaller package.

Recently sold all my Alpha gear and dive into the XE2, what I can say is WOW and I do regret not getting it EARLIER!!!

Had been holding on to the change as XPRO1 was damn expensive and XE1 had medicore AF speed. Since XE2 has the improved AF and new sensor, the decision for me was easy.

In terms of image quality, I would say Fuji is the best in APSC sensors. Impressive colours and noiseless even up to ISO3200, and this is the first cam i owned that i do not hesitate to use ISO6400 frequently.

I managed to shoot my son's concert 2 weeks ago with very low lighting. I only used the kit lens and ISO6400 and managed to keep my shutter speed at 1/125s to capture all the movements and dancing on stage. I have never been able to do that with my previous gears without flash.

Even with the built in flash, i am able to get really nice fill flash while maintaining the background still nicely exposed. Somehow Fuji is very good in balancing the both, even shooting with flash, ISO still maintains quite high at ISO3200 or so and yet still its noiseless.

I am sold to XE2, its the best cam ever for me. Unless you have the $ to go for A7, this is the best cam money can buy.

One more thing, the kit lens 18-55 f2.8-4 is fantastic. Its very sharp wide open and corner sharpness is good, in terms of kit lens, it is the best and its 1 stop faster than most. Coupled with the fantastic high ISO of XE2, this combination is the low light beast.

Absolutely right, really cannot take the plastic & waxy look above 3200. I am however still shooting with JPEG until Aperture support for xe2 raw file is available.

people I have a quick question.

how fast is the XE2 focusing with the 35mm compared to XE1? Thinking if I should upgrade. Does it actually allow us to track moving subjects easily?

hey ya, i think the AF improved, but it is not that significant that you are at a DSLR speed. Just my 2 cents and personal feel / take on it :)

Guys, some more questions from a canon user here...
1. Does fuji lens got AF over ride function? Some dslr lens can but some if u turn the MF ring when engage AF will spoilt the lens... How is it like for fuji lens?

2. When using dslr, many time i need to do micro AF adjustment for different lens that i mount on my body, as the AF is slightly off for some lens by default. Fuji got such issue/function?

Just saw the announcement of 10-24 XF fuji lens! Great!

1. Fuji lens like XF14mm, XF35mm allow to switch between Manual & Auto focus on lens. Switching is fast as you will only need to push/pull on the focusing ring unlike DSLR lens and i do not see it will spoil the lens.

2. There is no micro AF adjustment function as there is no need to for all mirrorless camera be it sony, m4/3 or fuji.

You should have join us last sunday to get yourself poisoned, many cameras and lens for you to test. After giving up my dslr, I never look back. I tend to shoot more because of portability and since it fit to my working bag nicely. It is definitely more fun, not in the expense of the image quality. The handling is not the same as dslr though, so be prepared to spend sometime getting use to it and to love it.

stop poisoning me... lol

I have the NEX-6 for a short while...Although the cost upfront is cheaper with the Sony NEX I found out that in the end it will cost you more because you need to purchase a better lens on it...the Sony kit lens is not good...Now compared with the Fuji XE2, although upfront u will be paying for more, but that kit lens is sooo good, u do not need to pull our more $$$ to buy better lens (al leasst for the normal zoom range). It burst the common impression that kit lens is bad (at least with Fuji)...Also, if you look at the NEX system lens lineup it is not so good...Although the Fuji X systems lens are also in its toddler state, it is better and the roadmap is good...Fuji is hands-on as we see in their firmware updates....I am also fortunate to sell my Sony NEX and got my Fuji XE2...
